This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured with the correct entry point for mods and preferred defaults for the community.
Preferred version: 5.4.2351README
Arcane Attunement
Client-side Valheim mod. Elemental Magic and Blood Magic give you a baseline Eitr pool, so a practiced mage is not stuck at an empty pool on a new world when Mistlands Eitr food is not available.
Servers that enforce a mod list can refuse the connection. The mod does not run on Xbox or other consoles.
Author: Snook. Version 1.0.3. Nexus page: valheim/mods/4528.

What it does
Only your own character is affected. It works in single player, on a self-hosted game, and on a dedicated vanilla server. There is no server plugin, no extra network traffic, no new items, and no new save data.
- Max Eitr. Every Elemental Magic and Blood Magic level adds permanent max Eitr on top of food and on top of Eitr from other mods. There is no cap. The bonus applies even when no Eitr food is active.
- Eitr regen. Every 5 levels in each skill adds a bit of Eitr regen, which stacks with gear like armor's Eitr regen bonus.
- Death skill loss lowers the bonus on its own.
Food Eitr shrinks as that food's timer runs down. The bar's maximum drops with it. The skill bonus does not shrink on that timer.
The Eitr bar is the game's own bar. It shows while current Eitr is below the maximum, and hides about a second after the pool is full. There is no new tooltip or HUD element.
Removing the mod returns those stats to vanilla on the next food update (about a second).
Presets
There is no custom preset.
| Preset | Eitr per level | Regen per 5 levels |
|---|---|---|
| Attuned | 0.5 | +1.5% |
| Balanced (default) | 1.0 | +2% |
| PowerOverwhelming | 1.5 | +5% |
Balanced with Elemental Magic 40 and Blood Magic 25 gives +65 max Eitr and +26% Eitr regen.
Install
PC only (Steam or the native Linux/Windows client with BepInEx). This does not load on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch.
- Install BepInExPack for Valheim (this package depends on
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim5.4.2351). - Thunderstore or r2modman: install
Snook-ArcaneAttunement. - Nexus, or a manual install: unpack the Nexus zip into the Valheim folder so the DLL lands at
BepInEx/plugins/ArcaneAttunement/ArcaneAttunement.dll. BepInEx also loads a DLL placed directly inBepInEx/plugins/.
Config
The file is created at BepInEx/config/snook.arcaneattunement.cfg the first time the game starts.
[General]
Enabled = true
Preset = Balanced
Preset accepts Attuned, Balanced, or PowerOverwhelming. Capitalization does not matter, and spaces around the word are ignored. PowerOverwhelming is one word.
Changing Preset in a config manager applies without restarting the game. The Eitr maximum updates on the next food update, about a second later. Editing the cfg file on disk, or changing Enabled, applies the next time you quit Valheim and start it again. Returning to the main menu is not enough for a file edit.
Uninstall
Delete ArcaneAttunement.dll. The next food tick writes vanilla max Eitr again. Other players do not need the mod, and a vanilla dedicated server does not need it either.
A server that checks client mods may still disconnect you. This mod does not hide itself from those checks.
Other Eitr mods
This mod adds its max Eitr on top of food and on top of other mods that add Eitr the same way. It does not replace the amount those mods already added. Eitr regen still stacks with armor. Mods that set max Eitr some other way have not been tested.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
1.0.3
- Arcane Attunement now adds its bonus on top of other Eitr sources instead of overwriting them.
- This may resolve the Eitr bar flashing when multiple mods that affect Eitr are active.
- Eitr bonuses from other mods should now stack with Arcane Attunement's bonus.
- No changes to presets or the bonus amounts.
1.0.2
- Fixed the preset setting being ignored (it fell back to Balanced). Preset name is now PowerOverwhelming and is case-insensitive. Preset changes from a config manager apply without restarting. Player-facing README.
1.0.1
- Added a support link to the README. No gameplay changes.
1.0.0
- Initial release.
- Baseline max Eitr from Elemental Magic and Blood Magic, including when no Eitr food is active.
- Eitr regen bonus added in the same modifier pool as armor and status effects.
- Presets: Attuned, Balanced (default), and PowerOverwhelming.
- Game fields and methods are reached only through Harmony and AccessTools. The compile references are publicized, and a test fails if the DLL touches them directly. If a patch throws, the mod logs once, turns itself off, and leaves player loading and updates alone.
