denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured and includes unstripped Unity DLLs.
Preferred version: 5.4.2202ValheimModding-Jotunn
Jötunn (/ˈjɔːtʊn/, 'giant'), the Valheim Library was created with the goal of making the lives of mod developers easier. It enables you to create mods for Valheim using an abstracted API so you can focus on the actual content creation.

QuickPing
Ping smarter. Mark what matters. Keep exploring.
QuickPing turns Valheim's basic ping into a proper exploration tool. Point at something, ping it, and QuickPing shows you what you're looking at with clear world-space text, visual effects, sound, and smart map pins for useful targets.
No more opening the map and trying to remember where that copper vein, dungeon, tar pit, portal, or Leviathan was.
Features
- Ping what you're looking at and get a readable world-space label.
- Automatically pin useful targets such as resources, dungeons, camps, ruins, landmarks, portals, tar pits, drake nests, and more.
- Force-pin anything when QuickPing doesn't normally consider it pin-worthy.
- Pin Editor lets you rename a pin and choose its minimap icon.
- Portal support keeps portal pins useful by using portal tags.
- Tracked pins can disappear with destroyed resources/objects, so your map stays cleaner.
- Multiplayer-ready pings for players using QuickPing.
- Tracer beam makes distant pings easy to spot through terrain and forests.
- Optional rising wisp effect as an extra visual marker.
- Directional whistle sounds make pings easier to locate by ear.
- Optional distance readout below the ping label.
- Cleaned-up names turn internal Valheim object IDs into readable labels.
QuickPing is meant to help you explore without constantly stopping to manage the map.
Default Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Z | Ping where you're looking. Recognized useful targets can be pinned automatically. |
| Y | Force-pin whatever you're looking at. |
| Alt + Y | Open the Pin Editor to rename the pin and choose an icon. |
| Enter | Confirm the Pin Editor. |
| Escape | Cancel the Pin Editor. |
All keybinds can be changed in the config.
What Gets Auto-Pinned?
QuickPing recognizes a growing set of useful Valheim targets, including things such as:
Resources
Copper, tin, silver, muddy scrap piles, berries, mushrooms, thistle, cloudberries, dragon eggs, guck, giant remains, flametal-related resources, and more.
Locations & Landmarks
Dungeons, caves, crypts, Fuling camps, tar pits, ruins, towers, villages, swamp structures, stone formations, drake nests, boss locations, Mistlands/Ashlands landmarks, and other recognizable world locations.
Special Targets
Portals, campfires, hearths, bonfires, and Leviathans / floating Abyssal Barnacle islands.
If something isn't recognized, you can still press Y and pin it manually.
Visual Ping Effects
By default, QuickPing can place a tall tracer beam at the ping location so it is easy to find from a distance.
The config also includes:
- Beam on/off
- Optional rising wisp
- Wisp brightness
- Ping text height
- Text offset toward the camera
- Optional distance display
- Optional raw Location debug text for troubleshooting or discovering unrecognized Valheim locations
The beam and wisp can be enabled together if you want maximum visibility.
Ping Sounds
QuickPing includes several whistle sounds and randomly chooses one when you ping.
The sound system is distance-aware:
- nearby pings play at the configured QuickPing volume;
- distant pings gradually become quieter;
- a configurable minimum volume prevents far-away pings from becoming inaudible.
The whistle can be disabled entirely in the config.
The optional wisp's original Valheim sound is disabled by default so it doesn't add unwanted audio.
Multiplayer
QuickPing does not require everyone on a server to install it just to join.
For the full QuickPing experience — including enhanced world text, effects, and QuickPing-specific ping information — each player who wants to see those features should have the mod installed.

Credits
This project is a Valheim 1.0+ revival and expansion of the original QuickPing mod by Atopy.
The original QuickPing provided the foundation and core idea that this version was built from. Huge credit to Atopy and the contributors to the original project for creating and maintaining it in the first place.

This revival updates, repairs, and expands that foundation for modern Valheim with new location handling, visual/audio ping effects, modern pinning, the Pin Editor, Leviathan support, multiplayer fixes, and other quality-of-life improvements.
Development of this revival included substantial AI-assisted / vibecoded work alongside manual testing, debugging, and iteration.
Most importantly: have fun, ping everything, and stop losing the good stuff.
