The Blighted World Heart
The Blighted World Heart is a dynamic, massive raid event that violently transforms your serene surroundings into a blood-soaked warzone. Only the strongest Vikings will survive.
The Corrupted Core
Forged from the twisted remains of "The Hive," the Blighted World Heart beats with a sinister, pulsating malice. This towering abomination anchors the nightmare, serving as the nucleus of the raid and the prime target your clan must annihilate to stem the tide of darkness.
Universal Desecration
No sanctuary is safe. This cataclysm can be invoked at any existing vanilla boss altar. By sacrificing the required biome-specific trophies, you corrupt the ancient stones, tearing open a rift for the Blighted World Heart to erupt into existence. Transform any boss spawn in your world into a legendary battleground!
Biome-Dynamic Onslaught
The Blighted World Heart is a living, adapting nightmare. It bends the very environment to its will depending on where it is unleashed:
- Twisted Visuals & Mechanics: The Heart warps its horrific appearance and deadly characteristics to mirror the biome it infests.
- Relentless Hordes: The endless, surging waves of enemies are ripped directly from the local environment. A Heart in the Black Forest will unleash suffocating swarms of Greydwarves led by towering Trolls, while a desecrated altar in the Plains will crush you beneath a stampede of bloodthirsty Fulings and enraged Loxes.
- Monstrous Sub-Bosses: When you strike the Heart and shatter its health thresholds, it retaliates by summoning colossal, biome-dependent Sub-Bosses. These behemoths offer unique, devastating mechanics tailored to break your spirit.

The spoils of your victory are imbued with devastating, game-changing enchantments:
Weapons of Annihilation:
- of the Serpent: Infuses your strikes with a lethal, festering Poison that rots your enemies from the inside.
- of the Wraith: Channels the wrath of the dead, adding massive, soul-crushing Spirit damage.
- of the Blight: An ultra-rare, god-tier enchantment combining both Poison and Spirit elements, while massively amplifying your weapon's base destruction.
Armor of the Titans:
- of the Bastion: Forges your armor into an impenetrable wall, granting a colossal boost to Armor Rating and unyielding Durability.
- of the Serpent: Wards your flesh with absolute resistance against Venom and Poison.
- of the Wraith: Shields your soul, granting powerful resistance against necrotic Spirit attacks.

Server Forging & Configuration
Bend the nightmare to your will via BepInEx config or Jotunn's Configuration Manager:

- Wave Timers & Spawns: Dictate the pacing of the slaughter—adjust wave intervals and the maximum horde size allowed to swarm the battlefield.
- Summoning Sacrifices: Demand greater tributes! Customize the specific items and quantities required to invoke the Heart in any territory.
- Loot Scaling: Master the economy of war by adjusting the power curve of Blighted gear dropped across different biomes.

By default, corrupting an altar requires 1x of the local Boss's unique drop.

- Install BepInEx for Valheim.
- Install Jotunn.
- Extract the

Upon startup, if Wacky's Database is detected, BlightedWorldHeart will automatically bypass its internal dynamic recipe modifications and UI hiding logic. This hands over total, unadulterated control to server admins and players who wish to customize Blighted weapon/armor stats and recipes using WackyDB's YAML files, safely preventing any recipe injection conflicts or crashes.

- Multiplayer Sync: Fixed a multiplayer synchronization issue where players other than the summoner could not see the SubBoss health bars, and the main Heart health bar did not update for them.
- Localization: Fixed an issue where SubBoss names would sometimes display their unlocalized internal names (e.g.
$enemy_troll) on client UI. The UI now dynamically localizes all names for everyone.

- Blighted Item Upgrades & Repairs Fixed: Blighted weapons and armors can now be properly upgraded and repaired by all players. We completely reworked how the recipes are handled under the hood so they no longer require admin privileges or "nocost" to function.
- Dynamic Upgrade Costs: Upgrading a Blighted item now requires the same base materials as its vanilla counterpart, plus the biome-specific trophies. They remain entirely uncraftable.

- Weapon Rebalancing: Significantly reduced the overall damage scaling and flat elemental damage (Poison/Spirit) bonuses on Blighted weapons to bring them back in line with vanilla progression curves.
- Shield Categorization: Fixed an issue where custom shields were incorrectly categorized as weapons. Shields now properly receive the Bastion/Blight defensive armor modifiers instead of weapon damage bonuses.
- Swamp Boss Altar Spawn: Adjusted the spawn logic for the Blighted World Heart when summoned in the Swamp biome. The Heart will now properly offset outward from the altar and drop to the ground, preventing it from spawning out of reach on top of the giant skull roof or getting stuck inside.

- Custom Item Repairs: Fixed an issue where Blighted custom items (weapons and armors) could not be repaired at normal crafting stations. They now properly tie into the Workbench, Forge, and Black Forge for standard, cost-free repairing.
- Damage Filtering Fix (Invulnerability): Fixed a major oversight where the Blighted World Heart could still be damaged by generic non-player environmental attacks (such as Troll AoE log swings and Abomination body slams). The damage filtering logic has been strictly enforced directly into the Heart's core damage receiver to block all non-player entity damage.
- Tamed Minion Exception: Added an explicit exception to the new damage filter allowing players and their tamed or summoned creatures (e.g., wolves, lox, Dead Raiser skeletons) to successfully damage the Heart.
