Collection
Each character remembers every piece of gear that passes through its inventory, even after it is sold or lost.
- Only looks that fit your item are shown.
- Search by name. Click a look's star (or right-click it) to favorite it; Favorites only shows just those.
- Show locked, under Illusion window in the config, shows looks and effects you don't have yet as dark silhouettes with ?. Names and details stay hidden until unlocked.
- Show Enemy Gear off hides all monster looks and trophy helmets.
Particle effects
Weapons can wear the effects of weapons you have collected, such as Frost fire or Blood lightning.
- Choosing a look also picks its effect. For another one, drag a weapon onto Particles or click its Collection.
- Original particles keeps your item's own effect, No particles removes it, Clear choice goes back to the look's.
Names
Name any gear in your inventory, with or without a look: type in the Name box and press Enter. Tick Look's name to use the look's name; Reset gives back the item's own. Names stay with the item, upgrades included. A colored name (or diamond) means the item wears an illusion.
Hide model
Helmets and capes: tick Hide model and apply. You keep the piece and its stats, but it isn't drawn.
Monster looks
Pick up the listed item to unlock a look. Items you had before installing count.

Trophy helmets
Turn your helmet into a creature's head: pick up its trophy, then choose it at the end of the helmet's Collection. Includes 48 trophy looks and compatible trophies from other mods.
Most trophies replace your character's head. Fuling Shaman is a hat; Bonemaw is a helmet. Removing the look restores your normal appearance. A dropped helmet shows its real model.
Adjust a trophy head
Enable Vanilla trophy fitting under Illusion window in the config. Fitting for modded trophies is on by default. Apply a trophy look, equip the helmet, then open Trophy fit > in the illusion window (controller: LB / RB).
- Adjust the trophy's size, rotation and position while watching your character.
- Inner hood adds a backing behind the trophy. Show head and Show beard keep your own head and beard visible.
- Save fit keeps your changes. Revert restores the last save; Reset to default restores the starting fit. Leaving the page discards unsaved changes.
Fits are saved per trophy for all your characters in this profile and affect only your view. Turning fitting off keeps your saved fits.
Monster projectiles
- A bow wearing the Charred bow shoots Charred Marksman arrows (elemental arrows keep their effects).
- A Staff of Embers wearing a Fuling shaman staff shoots the shaman's fireball and explosion.
Only the look changes; damage stays the real item's.
Particle fade and inertia
Effects on held weapons and torches react to how fast the weapon moves:
- Fade: particles fade sooner while the weapon moves fast, so trails are shorter.
- Inertia: particles keep part of the weapon's motion instead of stopping dead.
Each has a slider for attacks and one for everything else. These also work on fists. Lightning effects are excluded; Toxic cloud is excluded on non-fist weapons.
Also
- Armor stands, dropped gear and thrown spears show illusions.
- Epic Loot magic items keep their names and enchantments. Use the Marker indicator to keep rarity colors.
