README

No Cigarette Damage

A small Voices of the Void mod that removes cigarette smoking damage while keeping cigarettes usable.

What it does

  • Removes normal HP damage from smoking cigarettes.
  • Removes max HP loss from smoking cigarettes.
  • Keeps cigarettes usable.
  • Keeps cigarettes burning down normally.

Install

Manual install

  1. Close Voices of the Void.

  2. Open your game folder.

  3. Go to:

    WindowsNoEditor/VotV/Content/Paks

  4. Put this file in that folder:

    NoCigaretteDamage\\\_P.pak

  5. Launch the game.

    If using a mod manager

Install the package normally through your mod manager.

    Uninstall

Remove this file from your Paks folder:

    NoCigaretteDamage\\\_P.pak

    What was changed

This mod replaces the cooked cigarette Blueprint asset:

    /Game/objects/cig

    The edited values are:

  • Cigarette HP damage range: 1.05 - 1.100.0 - 0.0

  • Cigarette max HP decrease: 0.050.0

  • Cigarette tick interval is unchanged at 5.0, so cigarettes should still burn down normally.

    Notes

This mod only changes cigarette smoking damage.

It does not remove radiation sickness, radiation damage, or existing cough/cancer effects. If your save already has a cough/cancer effect before installing, you may still need to cure it in-game.

Made for Voices of the Void version 0.9.0-n.

This mod may not work correctly on older or newer versions if the cigarette asset changes.
