README

Jujutsu Kaisen Core

The shared library behind the Jujutsu Kaisen survivors. It adds no survivor by itself: install it with one or more of Satoru Gojo, Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji Itadori, Aoi Todo, Naoya Zenin or Dagon, and the mod manager pulls this package in for you.

What lives here

  • Cursed energy — the shared bar every survivor spends, with faster refills out of combat.
  • Domains — the triple-frame cut-in, the walls, the fog shelter and the holdout charge.
  • Black Flash — the zone buff, the odds and the flash itself.
  • Mahoraga — the Wheel of Adaptation ring, the shrine that rolls on every stage, and the shikigami any survivor can carry.
  • Reverse Cursed Technique, stances, the side-skill slots and the skill strips on the character-select screen.
  • The in-game guide on F1, the title-screen tableau and the lobby's expansion rows.
  • Controls — every key and controller button the survivors share, rebindable in Mod Options or BepInEx/config/dev.marmennz.satorugojo.cfg (the file keeps the name it has always had).

Setup & help

Install with a mod manager; a survivor package brings this one in. Multiplayer requires every player to have the same packages at the same versions, this one included.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.4.4

  • Changed: text only: the opening line of every package page and the tail of every description are cut; nothing in play changes. The six survivors skipped 1.4.3, so everything listed under it below reaches them with this number.

1.4.3

  • Changed: the shared library is its own package, JujutsuKaisenCore: cursed energy, domains, Black Flash, Mahoraga, the F1 guide and the binds live there, and every survivor package depends on it instead of on Satoru Gojo. The mod manager installs it when a package updates. Satoru Gojo is now Gojo alone, 28 MB instead of 37, so nobody downloads him to play somebody else. The config file keeps its name. Update every package you have: a Satoru Gojo left at 1.4.2 beside the new core loses Gojo from the character select until it is updated too.
  • Changed: the keys move off the game's 1.5.0 key item: the side skills are Z and X (were F and Z; F is the key item now), the stance is B (was X) and the Wheel of Adaptation is N (was G, the game's Ping). A written config moves with them. On a pad the key item sits on D-Pad Right, Up and Down; the mod's binds there fire alongside it instead of going dead, which only matters while you carry a key item, and the Wheel goes on Share / Create on a PlayStation pad (an Xbox pad has no free button left: View is the info screen). A pad's pause button is refused; a button that closed a menu or walked a pickup panel is not a press when play resumes.
  • Fixed: the controller binds on the d-pad did nothing: the game's menu map, which puts the d-pad on menu navigation, was counted as a clash. The stance's pad button moves to B (Circle), off the left stick press, which is the game's sprint.
  • Changed: the shared library gains a landed-blow damage helper and a held-idle clip hook for the survivors that use them; no released survivor plays differently.

Ryomen Sukuna

  • Reworked: Black Flash moves off World Cut and World Splitting Dismantle onto Demonic Rush's punches: one punch in a hundred lands at ×2.5 as a critical hit and a sure proc, and a blade never flashes.

1.4.2

  • Reworked: a domain's cast is an anime cut-in: the caster's face strikes in over the live view as the sign forms, never covering the screen; two to four casters at once share one page, and the whole team sees it.
  • Reworked: a domain's barrier is a wall: nothing gets in or out and no blow lands across it; Sukuna's shrine and Yuji's inherited shrine stay open.
  • Added: allied domains opened touching each other grow: ×2 area with two rooms, ×3 with three, up to four.
  • Reworked: the side skills are on F and Z by default (were the mouse thumb buttons M4 and M5); a written config moves with them.
  • Added: controller binds: D-Pad Left and Right the side skills, D-Pad Up the domain, D-Pad Down held Reverse Cursed Technique, the left stick press the stance; each a dropdown in Mod Options, and the strips and the guide show the pad button while you play on a pad.
  • Reworked: the guide opens on F1 (was F3, which the console fought over); the key that closes the console no longer opens it.
  • Buffed: cursed energy refills five times as fast out of combat (no combat skill for 5 s, no damage taken for 7 s).
  • Nerfed: health regeneration is vanilla's, 1 a second + 0.2 a level (was 1.5 + 0.3).
  • Nerfed: base damage ×0.8 on every survivor: Gojo 12 → 9.6, Sukuna 14 → 11.2, Yuji 13 → 10.4, Todo 15 → 12, Naoya 15 → 12, Dagon 13 → 10.4.
  • Fixed: the Ring's Mahoraga leaves without dying when he is sent away (a stage change, the wheel taken, the ring lost); only a real fall plays his death.
  • Fixed: the shrine's Mahoraga no longer throws an error when the run ends with him standing.
  • Fixed: Mahoraga's charge hits the body it runs at.
  • Fixed: another mod's skin comes off when you switch back to one of ours, and Dagon's and Naoya's lobby previews show beside a skin mod.

1.4.1

  • Added: the guide — F3 opens paged cards on every survivor's kit, and opens by itself the first time you play one.
  • Cut: the F3 hint list.
  • Added: the items and equipment you carry are drawn on every survivor.
  • Added: the haori of Gojo's Shinjuku Showdown and Sukuna's Sendai Colony skins hang and swing.
  • Reworked: Reverse Cursed Technique is a key of its own, C, held — Gojo, Sukuna and Yuji; it heals out of a reserve that only damage taken fills.
  • Added: hold the domain key 0.5 s to close your domain early and take back half of the unused entry price.
  • Added: tap the domain key inside your domain to keep it standing past its length, on rent from the bar; a clock on the key shows what is left.
  • Reworked: the cursed energy bar is the survivor's colour and shows what a press took.
  • Added: Black Flash zone — a Black Flash triples its thrower's flash chance for 5 s, and a rolled one is a sure proc.
  • Added: a beetle's headbutt is a Black Flash one time in a hundred.
  • Cut: the 07 - Black Flash config section; 1% and ×2.5 are fixed.
  • Added: Grief — a fallen teammate gives survivors within 60 m +30% damage for 12 s and 60 energy.
  • Added: assists — a kill you set up in the last 4 s pays half its energy.
  • Added: Backup Magazine adds charges to Red, Cleave and Disaster Tides; Bandolier pays 20 energy; Brainstalks makes flat-priced skills free.
  • Added: a standing domain keeps the void fog out and charges a zone 30% faster with an enemy inside.
  • Reworked: Mahoraga guards you instead of hunting on his own, and carries a copy of your items.
  • Added: ping an enemy and Mahoraga goes for it for 8 s.
  • Added: the shrine's Mahoraga is a boss, with a boss bar and a champion's reward.
  • Fixed: Mahoraga uses the World-Cutting Slash, and his attacks land where aimed and play real animations.
  • Fixed: Wyrm, Luminous Shot, Twisted, Ignition Tank, Growth Nectar and elite aspects work with this mod's skills.
  • Fixed: piercing blows, holds and Boogie Woogie no longer break a boss's invulnerability or drag it off its arena mark.
  • Fixed: a joined player earns energy from kills and opens domains.
  • Fixed: Disable All Skills silences the side keys, domain, stance and Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Fixed: a domain's screen flash and darkened edges are drawn.
  • Fixed: knees and feet on a slope.
  • Fixed: aim settles on the enemy under the crosshair, not the wall behind.
  • Fixed: a cancelled cast refunds exactly what it cost.
  • Fixed: a lobby with a vanilla survivor keeps the vanilla level curve.
  • Reworked: the title screen — Naoya has a place and a pose of his own.

1.3.1

  • Fixed: a fall no longer twists the body toward a heading its clip never held — jumps stay level on every survivor and on Mahoraga.

1.3.0

  • Fixed: a lobby running a different set of these packages, or different versions of them, is refused instead of silently desyncing — update every package together.
  • Fixed: a character installed beside a core it was not built against declines to load and says so.
  • Fixed: another mod's passive slot no longer rides into character select on these bodies.
  • Fixed: face overlays no longer draw as solid plates.
  • Fixed: a character could stay half-transparent on another player's screen for the rest of the run.
  • Fixed: every title screen after the first assembled its characters untextured.
  • Fixed: rebinding Mouse4, Mouse5 or T updates skill labels without a restart.
  • Fixed: the energy bar, hint panel and extra-skill strip no longer flash on other survivors.
  • Fixed: the hint key no longer flips this mod's settings while playing somebody else's character.
  • Reworked: logging — each distinct line said once, one summary block at the end of the log, and Diagnostic logging in dev.marmennz.satorugojo.cfg prints everything for a bug report.
  • Reworked: Black Flash cracks the air with black-and-red lightning at the point of contact.
  • Reworked: cursed energy from kills — 5, elites 12, champions 20, bosses 35, capped at 30 at once and refilling at 12 a second; both limits in the config.
  • Fixed: a Domain Expansion interrupted before it seals refunds its energy and cooldown.
  • Reworked: the light a domain leaves on the floor is a tenth as bright, and Gojo's lays one mark instead of two.
  • Fixed: a domain opened across the map no longer washes out your screen or takes over your soundtrack, and domain themes resume where they left off.
  • Fixed: Unlimited Void and Time Cell Moon Palace bill your damage as it stands, not as it stood when they opened.
  • Reworked: Voice line volume is one setting for every line from every character; 0 silences them all.
  • Reworked: Mod Options is three tabs under Satoru Gojo; the model, effect and diagnostic switches stay in the cfg.
  • Fixed: muting the game's master volume mutes this mod.
  • Added: Mahoraga has a Logbook page under Monsters.
  • Added: the mod has its own row in the lobby's Expansions panel — off, the run contains nothing the mod adds unasked.
  • Reworked: skill descriptions are two to four sentences, every number kept.
  • Fixed: the Ring of the Divine General is cut out and ringed in red like every other red item, and its Logbook page frames the model.
  • Fixed: the shrine's Mahoraga scales to the stage instead of staying level one.
  • Fixed: stacking the ring is worth what it says at any level.
  • Buffed: a called Mahoraga arrives with items of his own, swings upward at fliers, heals himself, and walks at 11 m/s.

1.2.5

  • Fixed: cooldown items now reach the key-bound skills. M4, M5 and Domain Expansion ignored every cooldown reduction in the run, Brainstalks included.
  • Fixed: with ScrollableLobbyUI installed, the Skills tab drew every description over its neighbours. The list works inside its scroll view now.
  • Fixed: a Skills tab this mod cannot lay out keeps each description inside its own box instead of spilling it over the strips around it.
  • Reworked: skill descriptions are about a third shorter, with every number kept.

1.2.4

  • Reworked: every attack that travels now carries the character over the whole swing, instead of jumping the distance on the frame the blow lands. Same distances, same timings.
  • Fixed: after visiting one of ours, vanilla and modded survivors' skill descriptions were drawn over their own titles.

1.2.3

Base critical chance is 1% for every character

Gojo was on 15, Sukuna on 10, Yuji and Todo on 5. All four are now 1. It was a difference between them that nothing on their character sheets mentioned, and it is gone; crit items work on each of them the same way from here.

Nothing else about crit changes. Items, buffs and the skills that crit on their own terms are untouched, and Black Flash rolls its own chance as it always has.

The Skills tab no longer draws a skill's name over its description

Two things went wrong at once. The scrolling list that gives each skill the room its text needs was standing aside on characters it should have been working on, leaving them the cramped five-row layout the game ships — where a long description grows out of both ends of its box and lands on the title above it. And where the list was running, it was building the title's box at half the size the title is actually drawn at, so the name was either shrunk to the size of the body text or drawn over the first line beneath it. Both are fixed.

Shorter skill descriptions

Every number is still there — damage, radius, cost, cooldown, all still read straight off what the skill really does. The writing around them is cut by about a third, and the longest few by more than half.

1.2.2 — bug fixes

  • The Skills tab in character select was blank, for every survivor in the game.
  • The mod's dust and sparks logged an engine error on every frame they drew.
  • Hardened against the two ways the HUD has vanished before, including when a character package is older than the shared library.

1.2.1

  • Fixed: your own character could go invisible to you for the rest of a life. The camera coming right up against you before your outfit was on switched every mesh off, and nothing was left to switch them back.
  • Fixed: launching Risk of Rain 2 without the mod wiped your Eclipse levels. They are kept alongside the mod now and put back next time. Ones already lost cannot be recovered from the save, but can be typed into BepInEx/config/dev.marmennz.satorugojo.eclipse.cfg once.
  • The listing icon is the close-cropped portrait character select draws, not the wider panel that was unreadable at mod-list size.

1.2.0 — two new survivors, and Mahoraga

New — Divine General Mahoraga

He is not a skill and belongs to nobody. A shrine rolls on about a third of stages; turning its wheel opens it, and what comes out is on the monster team and adapts to whatever you are killing him with, so the answer is more than one thing, or speed. He drops the Ring of the Divine General, a red item, so any survivor in the game can keep him. Stacks make him stronger, never more numerous. G sends him away and puts his wheel on you instead.

New — the X key, on everybody

One binding, four answers — the kit you already have, done a different way. Gojo turns both colours inward; Sukuna skates on his own cuts; Yuji borrows Sukuna's reach for fists that land nearly twice as far out; Todo's clap trades the two places instead of the two things standing in them.

Everything

  • Spending cursed energy in a burst makes it dearer for a few seconds — up to twice the printed cost, falling back off over a few seconds of not spending, with the bar turning towards ember while it stands. No price changed, and it can be switched off in the settings.
  • Todo's three fighting buttons cost cursed energy now. They were the only ones that did not. Drained rather than gated, so an empty bar never stops him punching.
  • Every effect rebuilt and every skill icon redrawn, new walking and running for all four, bodies that fall over when they die, and a title screen that is a posed picture instead of a row.

1.1.7 — Gojo comes off the borrowed rig

  • The package no longer ships anybody else's asset bundles.
  • Two more outfits: Day Off and Shirtsleeves.
  • Fixed: four of his six skins were drawn inside out, he was missing from the title screen and character select, and he made Sukuna's hand sign when idle.

1.1.6 — Hollow Purple, built out of the two colours

  • Fire a Red into a standing Blue and the two cancel into a Hollow Purple far larger than either. The Blue sets the size, the Red sets the damage.
  • The orbs answer to their own buttons, Mouse4 and Mouse5.
  • A hint panel on F3.
  • Gojo hits harder in melee and takes hits better, and his pacing was reworked.

1.1.5

  • Fixed: the domain could kill you.
  • Fixed: Instant Transmission circled the enemy instead of arriving behind them.

1.1.2 — first release

Gojo and Sukuna, the shared Cursed Energy bar, and the settings page.
