README

Satoru Gojo

The strongest sorcerer, playable. He controls the space instead of standing in it: two steerable orbs, free flight on the jump key, a domain, and Hollow Purple. Squishiest of the four, and he pays for it with a slowing field, a barrier and a heal that never stop running.

This package is also the shared library for Sukuna, Yuji and Todo. Install it alone if you only want Gojo.

Skills

Key Skill
M1 Hand-to-Hand Combat Three swings: pull in, land, throw off. Each pays energy back.
M2 Spinning Kick A spin that hits everything around him and launches it.
Shift Instant Transmission Blink to an enemy's back and set off a Red there; anything badly wounded dies outright. Aimed at nothing, a forward blink.
R Hollow Purple Hold, don't tap. A sphere that pierces its whole path, then detonates. Release early for a smaller, faster one.
Mouse4 Red Charge, steer, throw, press again to detonate. Two in hand, one recharging.
Mouse5 Blue A standing field that pulls and damages while it drains the bar.
X Inward / Outward Red splits into six seekers that pick their own targets; Blue orbits him instead of standing still.
T Unlimited Void Roots him, ground or air. Stuns and damages everything inside on repeat.
Six Eyes — Infinity Armour, crit, a field that slows enemies harder up close, and a per-second heal that overflows into barrier.

Shift has a second option in the loadout: Reverse Cursed Technique, a planted heal for a large share of his health, armoured and uninterruptible.

The combo

Hold a side button to charge an orb, aim to steer it, mouse wheel to push it out or pull it back. The camera stays free.

Release a Blue to leave a field standing, then fly a Red into it. The two cancel into a Hollow Purple far bigger than either. Blue's charge sets the size, Red's sets the damage. R is still the bigger single hit, but this comes back every few seconds and R takes thirty. Charging drains the bar and both orbs let go when it empties.

X turns both inward, for a crowd already on top of you. Red becomes six seekers that fan out and choose their own targets, giving up the range, the steering and the Hollow Purple. Blue circles him and travels with him, and can't be escaped by walking past its edge.

Flight

Jump, release, jump again in the air. Space with a movement key climbs where the cursor points, Space alone hovers, double-tap lands. No key drops him: aim down and fly into it. It burns Cursed Energy, so an empty bar puts him on the floor.

Everything else

  • Cursed energy — one purple bar, shared across the set. Refills on its own, faster on melee hits and kills. A skill you can't afford won't fire and won't go on cooldown. Gojo regenerates half again as fast as the others, and needs to.
  • Skins — seven: Formal, Jujutsu High, Hidden Inventory, Shinjuku Showdown, Shinjuku Coatless, Day Off, Shirtsleeves.
  • ConfigMod Options, or BepInEx/config/dev.marmennz.satorugojo.cfg. One config for the whole set. It counts extra mouse buttons from zero, so your Mouse 4 is Mouse3 there. Read at load, so changes apply next launch.
  • Multiplayer — everyone needs the same version; the lobby check refuses mismatches.
  • Numbers — not on this page on purpose. Every in-game description is built from the constants the skill actually runs on.
  • F3 toggles the hint panel.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

1.3.1

Naoya Zenin

  • Reworked: the vengeful cursed spirit — the M1 edge is gone, the hull is the whole weapon and its blow grows with the speed, and the form rises at half health.

1.3.0

  • Fixed: a lobby running a different set of these packages, or different versions of them, is refused instead of silently desyncing — update every package together.
  • Fixed: a character installed beside a core it was not built against declines to load and says so.
  • Fixed: another mod's passive slot no longer rides into character select on these bodies.
  • Fixed: face overlays no longer draw as solid plates.
  • Fixed: a character could stay half-transparent on another player's screen for the rest of the run.
  • Fixed: every title screen after the first assembled its characters untextured.
  • Fixed: rebinding Mouse4, Mouse5 or T updates skill labels without a restart.
  • Fixed: the energy bar, hint panel and extra-skill strip no longer flash on other survivors.
  • Fixed: the hint key no longer flips this mod's settings while playing somebody else's character.
  • Reworked: logging — each distinct line said once, one summary block at the end of the log, and Diagnostic logging in dev.marmennz.satorugojo.cfg prints everything for a bug report.
  • Reworked: Black Flash cracks the air with black-and-red lightning at the point of contact.
  • Reworked: cursed energy from kills — 5, elites 12, champions 20, bosses 35, capped at 30 at once and refilling at 12 a second; both limits in the config.
  • Fixed: a Domain Expansion interrupted before it seals refunds its energy and cooldown.
  • Reworked: the light a domain leaves on the floor is a tenth as bright, and Gojo's lays one mark instead of two.
  • Fixed: a domain opened across the map no longer washes out your screen or takes over your soundtrack, and domain themes resume where they left off.
  • Fixed: Unlimited Void and Time Cell Moon Palace bill your damage as it stands, not as it stood when they opened.
  • Reworked: Voice line volume is one setting for every line from every character; 0 silences them all.
  • Reworked: Mod Options is three tabs under Satoru Gojo; the model, effect and diagnostic switches stay in the cfg.
  • Fixed: muting the game's master volume mutes this mod.
  • Added: Mahoraga has a Logbook page under Monsters.
  • Added: the mod has its own row in the lobby's Expansions panel — off, the run contains nothing the mod adds unasked.
  • Reworked: skill descriptions are two to four sentences, every number kept.
  • Fixed: the Ring of the Divine General is cut out and ringed in red like every other red item, and its Logbook page frames the model.
  • Fixed: the shrine's Mahoraga scales to the stage instead of staying level one.
  • Fixed: stacking the ring is worth what it says at any level.
  • Buffed: a called Mahoraga arrives with items of his own, swings upward at fliers, heals himself, and walks at 11 m/s.

New survivor — Naoya Zenin

The frailest body in the set and the fastest feet. He builds film by never standing still, and everything his palm reaches is sealed in glass — frozen, pinned, and taking +40% damage from everybody until the glass breaks. No alternate skins or voice lines yet, and the hakama is one cone rather than two legs — seen from directly below, his own legs show inside it.

M1 M2 A three-kick run; and Frame Lock — the palm seals whatever you point at, and hitting the glass breaks it over their head
Shift Trace — a run of single steps answered on A S D, one press one step, sealing everything it passes — or Frame Corridor, a row of frames written down the aim and broken at a run
X Nothing; his is the one kit without a stance
R Twenty-Four Frames — the heel brought down and the whole circle sealed at once
Mouse5 Bleedout — one stab projected down a long line, aimed up as well as along
T Time Cell Moon Palace — slows everything inside and bills movement both ways; the cheapest place to be is his own pace
Sidestep on a double-tap of A or D; he steps out of blows on his own; die holding three quarters of the bar and he rises as the vengeful cursed spirit

New survivor — Kinji Hakari

The sturdiest body in the set, and everything he does is inside arm's reach. Landing skills keeps a beat — attack speed, and a bite off every cooldown — and the run empties if he stops connecting. Born with a 57 Leaf Clover's point of luck, on his master and not in the bar.

M1 M2 Free punches; and a Wheel Kick that throws everything around him off him
Shift Fever Breaker — a running kick that stops at what it reaches and hangs it up for a dropkick
R Rough Energy — his biggest wind-up on the ground, a stomp in the air, and the stomp at double off his own doors
Mouse4 Mouse5 Shutter Doors — pin what they catch for +20% damage from everything; and Reserve Balls — a ricochet that shuts a pair of doors wherever it stops
T Idle Death Gamble — a slot machine that plays itself: every three of a kind pays, and the 777 Jackpot is fourteen seconds of full health every second
The doors are also a key pressed during other skills — under the dropkick as Fever Crush, or a full-weight pair where a ball lands

Satoru Gojo

  • Buffed: cursed-energy regeneration grows with level — about 1.5x the shared rate at level one, 2.6x by twenty.
  • Nerfed: the Spinning Kick hits for 500%, from 680%.
  • Nerfed: Instant Transmission's blast hits for 1270%, from 1600%.
  • Fixed: a joined player's Reversal Red burst in front of their own face and dealt nothing.
  • Fixed: Instant Transmission's Red is drawn on every screen.
  • Fixed: a dash aimed downward no longer charges you for the landing.
  • Fixed: Lapse Blue's field is drawn for everybody.
  • Fixed: closing a standing Blue now reaches every machine.
  • Fixed: a steered Red flies the same curve on every screen.
  • Fixed: Hollow Purple's flash fades with distance instead of washing out the lobby.
  • Fixed: Reverse Cursed Technique refills Transcendence's shield.
  • Fixed: a second inward Red no longer re-prices a volley still in the air.
  • Fixed: his side keys wait out a stun or a freeze.
  • Fixed: Mahoraga's adaptation no longer rescales your on-hit items.

Yuji Itadori

  • Reworked: cursed energy — the Divergent Fist pays 5 a press, landed blows give back 8; Black Flash and Divergent Quake cost 50, Soul Strike 34, Scissors 9 a cut, the lance's entry 16.
  • Reworked: Piercing Blood moves to M5 as a third pick; M4 does nothing on him now.
  • Nerfed: Scissors is 2 charges on a 4 second wait, from 3 on 2.
  • Cut: Sukuna's Hands, the stance on X. Sukuna keeps his own.
  • Buffed: Manji Kick catches everything within six metres, up from 3.6.
  • Buffed: the Divergent Fist punches for 350% and its second impact for 200%, up from 115% and 65%.
  • Fixed: his face is no longer black.
  • Fixed: Rush stops at what it hits for joined players.
  • Fixed: Scissors gives its energy back on every machine.
  • Fixed: a monster his domain holds no longer wakes when a second domain closes over it.
  • Fixed: Divergent Quake lands once per enemy per wave, pushed away from Yuji.
  • Fixed: Piercing Blood's health-scaled cooldown follows your health.
  • Fixed: the quake can no longer be paid for in the air.
  • Fixed: releasing Piercing Blood stops it cutting the moment your beam closes.
  • Fixed: his side keys wait out a stun or a freeze.

Aoi Todo

  • Reworked: his fists pay 2/2/4 cursed energy, and a landed Overhead or Plus Ultra gives back 6.
  • Buffed: the thrown stone hits for 750%, up from 220%.
  • Buffed: a stone a teammate has caught and sent on hits 5% harder.
  • Buffed: his basic attack is free — it cost 2 cursed energy a blow.
  • Fixed: the small face overlays no longer draw as pale patches.
  • Fixed: vanilla Mercenary's Default skin swatch no longer wears Todo's portrait.
  • Fixed: with Todo fight animation off, he no longer stands in his bind pose out of a sprint.
  • Fixed: claps and Plus Ultra's landing arrive on top of the ground instead of half-buried in it.
  • Fixed: Boogie Woogie swaps onto a stone thrown past the map boundary or over a gap.
  • Buffed: Plus Ultra crosses slopes, steps and gaps; reach 32 m, up from 26.
  • Fixed: a clap can no longer delete an enemy by trading it onto a stone past the map boundary.
  • Fixed: clapping to a stone still in the air no longer leaves it flying on other machines.
  • Fixed: the host judges a teammate's catch and tells everyone.

Ryomen Sukuna

  • Nerfed: his punches restore half the cursed energy they did — a Fuga is about four seconds of punching now.
  • Nerfed: Instant Step costs 16 cursed energy, from 8.
  • Nerfed: the four-punch combo hits for 200/220/260/460%, and the fourth punch no longer bleeds.
  • Nerfed: Instant Step's parting cut no longer hits harder against the hurt; the Shrine's Dismantle keeps that.
  • Nerfed: King's Roundhouse hits for 450%, from 770%.
  • Nerfed: Instant Step's cut hits for 820%, from 1500%; the step and its reach are unchanged.
  • Fixed: Instant Step no longer bills the crossing as a fall.
  • Fixed: the Sendai skin's eye highlights no longer draw as dark plates.
  • Fixed: the fourth punch's parting cut lands for joined players.
  • Fixed: the Shrine's quarter bonus to Fuga and World Splitting Dismantle needs you inside it.
  • Fixed: Torrent stops cutting the moment the key is let go.
  • Fixed: his side keys wait out a stun or a freeze.

1.2.5

  • Fixed: cooldown items now reach the key-bound skills. M4, M5 and Domain Expansion ignored every cooldown reduction in the run, Brainstalks included.
  • Fixed: with ScrollableLobbyUI installed, the Skills tab drew every description over its neighbours. The list works inside its scroll view now.
  • Fixed: a Skills tab this mod cannot lay out keeps each description inside its own box instead of spilling it over the strips around it.
  • Reworked: skill descriptions are about a third shorter, with every number kept.

Satoru Gojo

  • Reworked: Unlimited Void's cooldown starts when the void closes instead of when the domain seals — 13s longer between casts.

Ryomen Sukuna

  • Reworked: Malevolent Shrine's 50s cooldown starts when the shrine falls instead of when the domain seals — 12s longer between casts.
  • Reworked: Malevolent Shrine cuts faster the darker its shrine stands — 5 cleaves a second on the first stage, 12 by the sixth, 15 at its darkest. The same damage a second at every depth.
  • Reworked: the spin kick throws what it catches as far as Gojo's does — a quarter more shove, up and out.

Yuji Itadori

  • Reworked: the domain's 70s cooldown starts when the room lets go instead of when the domain seals — 8s longer between casts.

1.2.4

  • Reworked: every attack that travels now carries the character over the whole swing, instead of jumping the distance on the frame the blow lands. Same distances, same timings.
  • Fixed: after visiting one of ours, vanilla and modded survivors' skill descriptions were drawn over their own titles.

Satoru Gojo

  • Reworked: Red, Blue and Hollow Purple cost a third of the bar to press and the rest a line at a time as he speaks — 75% of the pool for a fully spoken Red or Blue, all of it for Purple. A line he cannot pay for ends the cast.
  • Reworked: in flight, his jab and spin kick follow the whole crosshair.
  • Cut: the drain on a held sphere, the rings around the incantation, and the hoops around all three spheres.
  • Fixed: his passive promised a Sprint descent that stopped working releases ago.

Yuji Itadori

  • Added: Scissors banks three cuts at 10% each — tap for one, hold for all three. 6 cursed energy a cut, a charge back every 2 seconds.
  • Cut: Manji Kick no longer moves him, and the hoops around his fist and his stomp are gone.
  • Fixed: Scissors threw what survived it clean off the map. It pushes flat now, and about a third as hard.

Aoi Todo

  • Cut: Consecutive Blows is three punches, not four — the repeat jab in the middle went. Same damage per second, four tenths of a second shorter.

1.2.3

Gojo stands in a new idle, with a new break out of it

Both hand-animated on his own rig, and they are a pair: he stands with his hands in his pockets, breathing and shifting his weight, and every so often his head comes round and one shoulder rolls out without the hands ever leaving the pockets. The break starts and ends exactly where the stance is, so there is no longer a jump at either end of it.

They replace everything he used to stand in, including the separate stance he held in character select — that screen shows the new one now. The pose he holds on the title screen is not one of them and has not changed: it is still the domain sign, kept as a clip of its own so that swapping his idle could not take it with it.

Hollow Purple: the incantation no longer runs the bar dry before it ends

The charge and the four spoken lines were taking energy at the same time, and the bar ran out around the third line — so unless you started the cast on a full pool, the sphere threw itself before Gojo could finish speaking.

The charge now draws nothing at all while he is speaking: the four lines are what the technique is paid with. Each one he finishes takes a quarter of the price, and the fourth leaves him exactly his reserve — so a full incantation costs what a full charge always cost, in four steps you can watch, and can no longer be cut short by an empty bar. The lines are priced as a share of the pool now instead of a flat five, which had stopped meaning anything by the second stage.

Base critical chance is 1% for every character

Gojo was on 15, Sukuna on 10, Yuji and Todo on 5. All four are now 1. It was a difference between them that nothing on their character sheets mentioned, and it is gone; crit items work on each of them the same way from here.

Nothing else about crit changes. Items, buffs and the skills that crit on their own terms are untouched, and Black Flash rolls its own chance as it always has.

The Skills tab no longer draws a skill's name over its description

Two things went wrong at once. The scrolling list that gives each skill the room its text needs was standing aside on characters it should have been working on, leaving them the cramped five-row layout the game ships — where a long description grows out of both ends of its box and lands on the title above it. And where the list was running, it was building the title's box at half the size the title is actually drawn at, so the name was either shrunk to the size of the body text or drawn over the first line beneath it. Both are fixed.

Shorter skill descriptions

Every number is still there — damage, radius, cost, cooldown, all still read straight off what the skill really does. The writing around them is cut by about a third, and the longest few by more than half.

1.2.2 — bug fixes

  • The Skills tab in character select was blank, for every survivor in the game.
  • The mod's dust and sparks logged an engine error on every frame they drew.
  • Hardened against the two ways the HUD has vanished before, including when a character package is older than the shared library.

1.2.1

  • Fixed: your own character could go invisible to you for the rest of a life. The camera coming right up against you before your outfit was on switched every mesh off, and nothing was left to switch them back.
  • Fixed: launching Risk of Rain 2 without the mod wiped your Eclipse levels. They are kept alongside the mod now and put back next time. Ones already lost cannot be recovered from the save, but can be typed into BepInEx/config/dev.marmennz.satorugojo.eclipse.cfg once.
  • The listing icon is the close-cropped portrait character select draws, not the wider panel that was unreadable at mod-list size.

1.2.0 — two new survivors, and Mahoraga

New survivor — Yuji Itadori

No technique of his own, so he throws himself at things. His Black Flash chance is several times everyone else's, and landing one puts him in the flow — a streak that heals him, hardens him, and at the top refuses a killing blow. Seven outfits.

M1 M2 Shift Divergent Fist, a rising Manji Kick, and a Rush that can be aimed straight up
R Black Flash — a guaranteed one — or Soul Strike, which lands through armour and any block
Mouse4 Mouse5 Piercing Blood, the lance; and Divergent Quake or Scissors, one flat cut across
T A domain that deals no damage at all — everything inside simply stops fighting

New survivor — Aoi Todo

The heaviest and best armoured of the set, and the only one who does not travel by running: he throws a stone, marks what he wants moved, and claps it to whatever he is looking at — himself, a teammate, or whatever is killing him. Two outfits.

M1 M2 Four blows in a run; and an Overhead Smash that, pressed in the air, comes down the way he is facing and lands harder the further he fell
Shift Boogie Woogie: Stone — a thrown destination
R Plus Ultra — a dash whose kick is always a Black Flash. Hold it to go further
Mouse4 Mouse5 Mark what you want moved, and the clap that moves it. Marking is free; no cooldown on either
No domain, and no fall damage from any height

New — Divine General Mahoraga

He is not a skill and belongs to nobody. A shrine rolls on about a third of stages; turning its wheel opens it, and what comes out is on the monster team and adapts to whatever you are killing him with, so the answer is more than one thing, or speed. He drops the Ring of the Divine General, a red item, so any survivor in the game can keep him. Stacks make him stronger, never more numerous. G sends him away and puts his wheel on you instead.

New — the X key, on everybody

One binding, four answers — the kit you already have, done a different way. Gojo turns both colours inward; Sukuna skates on his own cuts; Yuji borrows Sukuna's reach for fists that land nearly twice as far out; Todo's clap trades the two places instead of the two things standing in them.

Satoru Gojo

  • Flight has weight — it pulls up and leans into a turn, and he lies back on air with his hands in his pockets.
  • Unlimited Void deepens with the run — a tenth-stage domain is a dark room where a first-stage one is a pale bubble. Look only; no numbers changed.
  • Fixed: Blue pulled once and then threw you across the room, the void missed some of what stood in it, and his skins were seven different heights with icons drawn on top of one another.

Everything

  • Spending cursed energy in a burst makes it dearer for a few seconds — up to twice the printed cost, falling back off over a few seconds of not spending, with the bar turning towards ember while it stands. No price changed, and it can be switched off in the settings.
  • Todo's three fighting buttons cost cursed energy now. They were the only ones that did not. Drained rather than gated, so an empty bar never stops him punching.
  • Every effect rebuilt and every skill icon redrawn, new walking and running for all four, bodies that fall over when they die, and a title screen that is a posed picture instead of a row.

1.1.7 — Gojo comes off the borrowed rig

  • The package no longer ships anybody else's asset bundles.
  • Two more outfits: Day Off and Shirtsleeves.
  • Fixed: four of his six skins were drawn inside out, he was missing from the title screen and character select, and he made Sukuna's hand sign when idle.

1.1.6 — Hollow Purple, built out of the two colours

  • Fire a Red into a standing Blue and the two cancel into a Hollow Purple far larger than either. The Blue sets the size, the Red sets the damage.
  • The orbs answer to their own buttons, Mouse4 and Mouse5.
  • A hint panel on F3.
  • Gojo hits harder in melee and takes hits better, and his pacing was reworked.

1.1.5

  • Fixed: the domain could kill you.
  • Fixed: Instant Transmission circled the enemy instead of arriving behind them.

1.1.2 — first release

Gojo and Sukuna, the shared Cursed Energy bar, and the settings page.
