First Person Mod

Play ATS in first person mode!

Walk around your settlement in first person using WASD, look around and see the world from a new perspective.

Requires the API mod v3.5.0 or higher.

Hotkeys (Changeable in the Keybindings menu)

• L - Toggle first person mode
• X - Move at double speed

Configs (Changeable in the Mods menu)

• Move Speed - How fast you'll move with WASD
• Camera Sensitivity - How your camera moves with your mouse. Higher means your camera moves further.
• Show UI - If off when in first person mode all UI will be hidden.

How to install

Installation with Thunderstore (Recommended)

1. Download and install the Thunderstore app for free from here
2. Use the Thunderstore App to Install First Person Mod
   • Be sure BepInEx is installed too!
   • Be sure API mod is installed too!
3. Run the game using Thunderstore

Manual Installation

1. Install v5.4.21 of BepInEx
   • Extract the contents of the zip into Against the Storm folder that has the games Against the Storm.exe in it
   • Run the game once so Against the Storm/BepInEx/plugins gets created. If the plugins folder does not get created then you installed it wrong.
2. Install API mod
   • Download content using the Manual Download button
   • Extract the contents of the zip into the Against the Storm/BepInEx/plugins folder
     • Example: Against the Storm/BepInEx/plugins/ATS_API_Devs-API/API.dll
3. Install First Person Mod
   • Download content using the Manual Download button
   • Extract the contents of the zip into the Against the Storm/BepInEx/plugins folder
     • Example: Against the Storm/BepInEx/plugins/JamesGames-FirstPersonMod/FirstPersonMod.dll
4. Run the game

• Pressing X will now move you at double speed (Can be changed in Keybindings)
• Added Config to turn on/off UI when in first person mode (On by default)
• First person camera will first start at the first hearth entrance
• Fixed first time toggling first person mode not working properly
• Fixed Field Marker (Green selection square) not appearing where the player is looking
• Fixed starting a new settlement and the first person camera not resetting to the first hearth entrance
