Board Roles
Give each player kitchen roles and assign order boards to them. A board only shows the orders its player can cook.
Roles
Roles come from the game's own recipe categories. Only categories customers can actually order count.
- Fry cook: fried dishes
- Soup cook: soups, stews, boiled dishes
- Baker: breads, pies, baked dishes
- Bartender: drinks
- Grinder: tartars, applesauce, honey candies
Pick as many as you like. Two people can share a role.
Controls
- E while looking at an order board: choose whose board it is (or Everyone), and set your roles
- F7: set your roles from anywhere
- Esc: close the window
While the window is open your character is frozen: no camera look, movement, clicks, hotbar or interacting. The keys only work during normal play (not while a game menu or chat is open).
Rules
- A player's board shows orders in that player's roles.
- If a dish category is on your menu but nobody has that role, its orders show on every board with a red tint, and every board says "Nobody is on: ...".
- Everyone boards show all orders.
- If a board's player leaves the game, the board shows everything until they come back.
Multiplayer
- Everyone should install it. The host keeps the assignments and saves them per tavern in BepInEx/config/BoardRoles_saved.json.
- If the host doesn't have it, your settings only apply on your own screen.
- Boards are remembered by position. Moving a board means assigning it again.
- Orders are never changed. The mod only controls which stickers each board draws.
Settings
BepInEx/config/aletale.boardroles.cfg: keys, how close you need to be to a board, and the name position (NameplateOffset) if it overlaps the stickers.
