Easy Key

No more holds. One press starts the work, and a second press stops it.

What it does

Holding a key until a tree falls gets old fast. Not anymore. Easy Key started as an accessibility mod, and it makes the game a little less annoying for everyone.

One press to gather, chop trees, mine rocks, build, repair, drink, or light and put out a fire. The work keeps going with the key released. Press again to stop.
Work at the Anvil and the Carpentry Benches on one press. The piece turns to its next side by itself and is quenched when every side is done.
Middle-click an item for a menu: Move, Move All, Move Some, Drop, Drop All, Drop Some. Prefer right-click? Set it in the config.
Hold Left Ctrl and press the drop key to drop every stack of that item at once.
E picks up everything within 25 m, not just what's at your feet.
Rename, password, and split boxes open ready to type. Enter confirms, Esc cancels.
Double-tap a movement key to keep walking, or swimming. Any movement key stops you.
Double-click a save to start it.
Prompts drop the "Hold" word wherever one press does the job.

What's New

New: one press repairs a damaged structure or boat. Press again to stop.
New: settings take effect the moment you change them. No restart.
New: double-click a save to start it. Clicking the selected save keeps it selected.
Fixed: a one-press feature you turned off lost "Hold" from its prompt. Its prompt says "Hold" again.

Rather not edit files? Config Forge changes these settings in game.

Notes

Turn on the game's own Sprint and Crouch toggles in its settings, so you don't hold those either. Easy Key leaves them alone. Moving Sprint off Left Shift, to Caps Lock for example, helps too.
Easy Key never changes your key bindings. Remove it and the game is exactly as it was.

Requirements

BepInEx 6 for IL2CPP. Will work with BE.755, but I recommend using the new BE.789 version.

Installation

I highly recommend Vortex. Install ASKA Mods with Vortex. Then just click the Vortex button and you're done.

If you install mods by hand, you clearly don't need instructions. ;-)
