Trail Markers

Trail Markers introduces a collection of little navigation aids designed to help you and your pals without disrupting the natural rhythm of the world.

Whether you are tracing a winding path or leaving a glow to guide a lost friend back to the group after dark, these markers sit gently within the landscape. They're built in the spirit of the original game, keeping your immersion entirely whole.

3 Types of Markers

Cairns

Stacks that fit well into the environment.

Air Sticks

Floating, compact markers for a clean and subtle look.

Glow Rocks

Luminescent green pucks perfectly suited for the night. Good for drawing directional arrows.

Mix and match however you like.

Controls

Configuration

After first launch: BepInEx/config/gogogadgetjustice.bigwalk.trailmarkers.cfg

• Key to place a Trail Marker
• Key to cycle through marker types (Cairn / Airstick / Glowpuck).
• Key to pick up nearest marker.
• Max range to place/pickup markers. [default: 10]
• Max distance to snap markers to floor geometry. [default: 2]
• Max markers per player. [default: 10]
• Automatically remove oldest marker when at cap. [default: true]

To Do, Maybe

• Optimize, optimize. optimize.
• I believe if all players have this mod installed, you should see each other's markers. You should certainly see your own if not. It's untested. Let me know.
• Maybe make glowing a toggle on all types.
• Maybe make audio markers an option.
• Maybe add a remote detonation flare marker
• Maybe make them into interactables that you can pick up/toss around instead of illusions.
