Big Accessibility

Adds an Accessibility tab to Big Walk's settings menu, in both the title screen and the pause menu.

This is provided as-is. No support, no updates, no promises. If a game update breaks it, the source is here; fork it.

Color filters

Color-blind correction for protanopia (red), deuteranopia (green) and tritanopia (blue), with a strength slider. The filter shifts the colors you can't tell apart into ones you can, so gourds, towers and keys stay readable.

Subtitles

Minecraft-style captions for the sounds around you, in the bottom right of the screen:

• Cowbell rings, Train horn, Plinth opens, Footsteps, and around 800 more
• < and > arrows point toward the sound
• Three text sizes
• Your own footsteps and background ambience stay quiet, so the box only shows what matters

Writing your own captions

BepInEx/config/BigAccessibility.captions.txt overrides the built-in captions:

sfx_prop_cowbell_shake = Cowbell rings     exact sound name
sfx_prop_*_grab = {1} grabbed              * matches part of a name
@cowbell = Cowbell                         display name for a matched part
sfx_train_horn = -                         hide this sound
fly_lobby_*_walk = ~Footsteps              only other players, not you

Every sound you hear is listed in BepInEx/config/BigAccessibility.cues.txt.

Config

All settings live in BepInEx/config/wtf.raccoon.BigAccessibility.cfg. The settings tab covers the main ones. The file also has quieter-sound threshold, linger time, line count, box opacity, and music/UI captions.

Everything runs on your own game only. Nothing is sent to other players, so it works in any lobby, hosted or not.
