Mimic Mod — v0.6.0

Made by GoldenNull

Mimic is a BONELAB mod focused on configurable AI behavior, stalking, encounters, and learning. This update expands the BoneMenu layout with clearer categories, quick profiles, more tuning controls, and extra diagnostics.

What's New in This Update

  • Organized BoneMenu: Settings are grouped into sub-pages so controls are easier to find.
  • Quick Profiles: Switch between Balanced Stalker, Patient / Less Aggressive, Aggressive Pursuer, Jumpscare Focus, and Non-Hostile Observer.
  • AI Control: Enable or disable Mimic, choose its behavior mode, refresh existing Doppel bots, reapply settings, and save data.
  • Stalking & Movement: Toggle stalking and cover behavior, adjust stalk distance, and tune rush chance.
  • Combat & Cooldowns: Toggle attacks and adjust attack and jumpscare cooldowns.
  • Experimental Options: Toggle self-aware behavior and visual glitches, with an option to reset those toggles.
  • Learning & Memory: View learning statistics, save learning data, and clear movement history separately from encounter history.
  • Voice & TTS: Toggle text-to-speech, list installed Windows voices, adjust pitch and frequency, and test TTS.
  • Diagnostics & Tools: View encounter counts, print the data directory and current settings, refresh bots, and save JSON data.

Existing Features

  • Multiple behavior modes, including Adaptive Stalker, Jumpscare, Ruthless Attacker, and Non-Hostile.
  • Learning data that tracks observed movement patterns such as speed, pauses, turns, and direction changes.
  • Encounter statistics and history.
  • Persistent Mimic settings and data stored in the Userdata/Mimic folder.

Data & Saves

Mimic stores its own data in:

Userdata/Mimic

Files include:

  • MimicSettings.json — configuration and tuning values
  • MimicLearning.json — learned movement information
  • MimicEncounters.json — encounter statistics and history
  • MimicBrain.json — Mimic's saved brain data, when used by the installed build

Use the menu's save options to save changes. Clearing movement history does not clear encounter history, and clearing encounter history does not clear learned movement data.

Notes

  • No microphone controls or recording features are included in this menu update.
  • TTS uses installed Windows voices and depends on the local Windows speech setup.
  • Some experimental behaviors may vary depending on the current BONELAB scene and available Doppel bots.
  • This README describes the menu update; exact behavior can depend on the installed build and dependencies.
