Ultimate Telekinesis
Grab, hold, release, and throw movable BONELAB objects with either controller. Configure controls and physics in a custom galaxy-themed in-game menu. The mod is designed for BONELAB on Quest and PCVR with MelonLoader/LemonLoader.
Author: GravWarden
Requires only a compatible BONELAB MelonLoader/LemonLoader installation. BoneLib is not required.
Controls
- Telekinesis is enabled by default. Aim with your selected controller and squeeze its trigger to grab a movable object.
- By default, squeeze the trigger again to release. Enable Hold Trigger to Grab in the in-game menu to hold while squeezed and drop when released.
- While holding an object, squeeze that controller's grip to throw it.
- Open the galaxy menu with the right controller's secondary button by default. In Controls, select the menu hand and cycle between primary, secondary, and menu-button bindings.
Only objects with a non-kinematic Rigidbody can be grabbed. Static scenery blocks grabs. The default grab range is 10 meters, and the grabbed point stays about 2.5 meters in front of the controller. Held objects preserve their original gravity setting when released or thrown. If BoneLib is installed, the mod also temporarily ignores collisions between held objects and the player rig; BoneLib is optional.
In-game menu
The world-space galaxy menu has Core, Controls, Physics, and Status pages. It provides power, grab mode and hand selection, configurable menu hand/button, gravity, trigger/grip sensitivity, range, hold distance, pull strength/speed, throw speed, and live controller diagnostics. Settings persist in MelonLoader preferences. When the menu is open, grab input is paused so menu selections cannot also grab or release objects.
Installation
Thunderstore Mod Manager
After the package is available on Thunderstore, find Ultimate Telekinesis in the BONELAB community and select Install with Mod Manager.
Manual installation
- Install a compatible LemonLoader/MelonLoader setup for BONELAB.
- Extract the downloaded package ZIP.
- Copy
Mods/UltimateTelekinesis.dlldirectly into BONELAB'sModsfolder. Do not leave it inside an extra nested folder. - Launch BONELAB.
Install either Ultimate Telekinesis or Ultimate Telekinesis 2, not both. They use the same controller grab inputs and are alternative packages.
Troubleshooting
- If the mod does not load, check the latest MelonLoader/LemonLoader log for assembly-loading errors.
- Confirm
UltimateTelekinesis.dllis directly inside the active BONELABModsfolder. - If grabbing does not work, try a nearby movable object; static scenery and objects with a kinematic Rigidbody cannot be grabbed.
- Make sure the selected controller is tracked and active. The mod can read either analog trigger/grip values or their button features.
- If input or grabbing still fails, open Status and check controller/pose/trigger readings; lower trigger/grip sensitivity in Controls if needed.
- If the controller pose is temporarily lost while holding an object, it is automatically released safely after a short grace period.
- Use Core > Power to turn telekinesis on or off.
