WristHub

V3 BETA: A holographic smart watch with avatar search/downloads, 3D previews, Compass, persistence, deletion, and Fusion sharing.

CHANGELOG

Changelog

3.0.1 - Download compatibility hotfix

  • Accepts valid BONELAB archives whose pallet manifest is stored directly at the ZIP root, using a safe deterministic package folder instead of incorrectly reporting that the pallet is missing.
  • If a mod's newest compatible upload is still awaiting mod.io's virus scan, uses the newest fully scanned compatible file when one is available.
  • Records clear terminal download and safe-installation diagnostics in MelonLoader without logging search text or keys.
  • Keeps all V3 smart-watch, Compass, avatar preview, numeric search, persistence, deletion, and Fusion sharing features unchanged.

3.0.0 - Complete smart-watch release

  • Brings the complete redesigned WristHub into one V3 release with a circular live-time smart watch that automatically fits the equipped avatar and remains readable while the wrist moves.
  • Tapping the watch projects WristHub; tapping it again from the hub, avatar browser, search, downloads, settings, confirmation, or Compass plays the reverse collapse and closes everything.
  • Uses a compact holographic avatar interface with one centered full-color preview, accurate pre-equip gameplay height, direct Equip, and grip/pinch-to-chest equipping.
  • Includes All Avatars and Groups browsing, recent-first ordering, remembered starting views, pack information, and recoverable pack deletion.
  • Searches installed avatars and BONELAB mod.io from an in-game keyboard with full letters, spaces, editing controls, and a complete 0–9 number row.
  • Downloads and validates compatible avatar packs with one clean progress capsule, cancel/retry support, targeted pallet loading, and platform badges.
  • Adds the first WristHub app: an 11 cm projected Compass with a smooth live needle, degree heading, eight-direction label, and remembered per-level Set North calibration.
  • Preserves the equipped avatar through supported scenes and sessions using BONELAB's native avatar flow and normal size/rig refresh behavior.
  • Registers WristHub downloads with ModioModNetworker and uses Fusion's normal avatar sender so eligible peers can enter their usual download flow.
  • Retains PCVR and Quest-compatible builds, Reduced Motion, hologram brightness/effects, left/right wrist selection, manual UI scale, guarded errors, and pooled performance paths.

2.3.1 - Numeric avatar search hotfix

  • Adds a complete 1–0 number row to the in-game avatar-search keyboard.
  • Reflows the letter and utility rows so all keys remain separated and inside the compact glass panel.
  • Keeps Shift, Space, Backspace, Clear, automatic search submission, watch toggle, Compass, previews, downloads, and Fusion sharing unchanged.

2.3.0 - Watch toggle and Compass app

  • Makes the circular watch a true interface toggle: tap once to project WristHub and tap again from any page to play the reverse collapse.
  • Locks every projected control as soon as closing begins and requires the touching finger/controller to exit before the watch can trigger again.
  • Supports smoothly reversing an opening animation when the watch is tapped before materialization finishes.
  • Replaces More Soon with WristHub's first app: a compact 11 cm projected Compass with bearing ticks, a live north needle, degrees, and eight-direction labels.
  • Adds Set North calibration per level, remembers up to 64 recent levels, and safely holds the last heading when the headset points too vertically.
  • Keeps the Compass facing the player, scales it with avatar height and UI scale, and preserves live navigation in Reduced Motion.
  • Retains the focused single-avatar browser, mod.io downloads, pack deletion, persistence, and Fusion sharing.

2.2.2 - Watch orientation and focused-avatar hotfix

  • Corrects the watch Canvas basis so players see the front of every clock label instead of mirrored back-facing text.
  • Continuously levels the watch text to the headset while the forearm rolls or turns, with smooth rotation to avoid jitter.
  • Lowers the watch from 6 mm to 4 mm above the resolved wrist surface and brings the text closer to the glass.
  • Removes both side-avatar holograms and their loading work; the browser once again shows one centered full-color avatar.
  • Keeps Previous and Next as safely separated navigation controls and preserves the arc dashboard, opening/closing animation, grabbing, search, downloads, and Fusion sharing.

2.2.1 - Visible smart watch and arc dashboard repair

  • Repositions the 6.5 cm black smart watch on the actual outer forearm surface using local-rig collider clearance with a safe humanoid-bone fallback.
  • Keeps the watch body visible while asleep and raises the high-contrast time, seconds, date, status, and cyan segmented rim above the glass when awake.
  • Replaces the remaining focused-avatar tablet with two compact dark-glass control wings around the three-avatar hologram stage.
  • Separates Previous, Next, and Equip touch bounds, keeps Delete Pack inside Pack Options, and uses one shared amber Download/progress capsule.
  • Adds a visible 0.55-second watch charge, three-ray stage build, wing unfold, avatar reveal, and control materialization sequence.
  • Adds a real 0.35-second reverse close; interaction locks immediately and objects remain alive until the light rays collapse into the watch.
  • Preserves search, groups/all browsing, downloads, deletion, accurate pre-equip height, grabbing, persistence, and Fusion sharing.

2.2.0 - Circular smart watch and compact hologram UI

  • Replaced the rectangular gaze/PUSH ME launcher with a thin circular watch resting against the wrist.
  • Added a detailed local-time face with seconds, date, compact status, and live download progress.
  • Looking at the watch for one second wakes it for five seconds; tapping it asleep or awake immediately opens WristHub.
  • Added a 0.55-second wrist projection into a compact radial hub for Avatars, Search, Downloads, and future modules.
  • Reorganized the three-avatar carousel around a smaller circular stage with separated Previous, Next, Equip, Search, scope, and close controls.
  • Moved pack deletion into Pack Options and added a dedicated recent-download glass panel.
  • Shared one frame-cached fingertip/controller probe source between the watch and browser and locked input during page materialization.
  • Preserved the full-color grabbable center preview, lightweight blue side previews, pre-equip height, mod.io downloading, pack recovery, and Fusion sharing.

2.1.0 - Cinematic wrist hologram

  • Replaces the opaque focused-avatar tablet with a floating, forearm-projected hologram inspired by layered movie interfaces while keeping original WristHub styling.
  • Adds a three-avatar carousel: lightweight blue native previews on the sides and one full-color, grabbable selected avatar in the center.
  • Adds a staged wrist charge, expanding counter-rotating rings, fine light rays, avatar scan dots, rotating stage arcs, a cyan reveal, and a reverse closing collapse.
  • Moves search, downloads, pack browsing, deletion, and settings onto readable rounded dark-glass panels that slide beside the hologram.
  • Uses green Equip, amber Download/progress, and red deletion/error accents with the existing fingertip, controller, haptic, and debounce behavior.
  • Connects the live hologram performance governor so Quest and sustained slow frames reduce scan details, side previews, and extra rings without disabling navigation.
  • Preserves accurate selected-avatar height before Equip, full-color preview normalization, chest-release Equip, Fusion sharing, downloads, persistence, and rollback.
  • Reduced Motion skips rotating and traveling assembly effects; disabling Hologram Effects restores the static glass interface.

2.0.3 - Selected-avatar height and Fusion recovery

  • Removes every path that could overwrite the selected avatar's ruler with the currently equipped player's height.

  • Runs BONELAB's native no-argument body measurement on the selected crate itself, allowing community avatars with stale template metadata to report their actual post-equip size before Equip.

  • Keeps visible preview bounds, clothing, hair, and effects out of the gameplay-height number.

  • Waits for the requested avatar's real BONELAB prefab asset to finish loading before asking Fusion to replace PolyBlank; an AvatarCrate record alone is no longer treated as ready.

  • Keeps the detached, grabbable 3D preview at the same proportional scale as the wrist tablet for tiny, normal, and giant equipped avatars.

  • Uses the selected crate's authored BONELAB gameplay height before Equip without recalculating the shared prefab against the currently worn avatar.

  • Replays BONELAB's native UI_AVATARSCALE refresh after a successful swap so the built-in radial/options wheel follows the new avatar's arm scale.

  • Keeps the native Fusion sender, ModioModNetworker download rules, preview normalization, direct Equip, and chest-release Equip paths unchanged.

2.0.5 - Native Fusion avatar handoff

  • Fixes the remaining case where another player briefly saw the avatar download indicator and then stayed as PolyBlank.
  • Live-loads WristHub packs with BONELAB's real native mod.io listing and verified PC/Quest file targets instead of a blank listing, allowing Fusion's built-in downloader to resolve the equipped avatar normally.
  • Waits for the exact requested BONELAB AvatarCrate to exist after ModioModNetworker finishes downloading instead of treating the progress bar as proof that pallet loading is complete.
  • Hands the ready avatar back through Fusion's public SetAvatarDirty resolution path for the affected player, matching normal Fusion avatar loading.
  • Keeps recovery bounded, barcode-specific, and one-shot so it does not repeatedly reload avatars or add per-frame work.

2.0.4 - Fusion PolyBlank recovery

  • Always performs a fresh official Fusion avatar announcement after the downloaded pallet is fully registered instead of treating Networker's local cache as proof that peers received a usable mapping.
  • Adds a small bounded set of follow-up announcements so slower peers retry the avatar after their pack finishes downloading and loading.
  • Detects the end of ModioModNetworker's peer-pack load cycle and safely refreshes remote Fusion avatar setters, fixing the brief loading circle followed by permanent PolyBlank.
  • Keeps ModioModNetworker's normal downloader, queue deduplication, platform selection, size limits, maturity settings, and blacklist rules unchanged.

Registration-before-equip restoration

  • Restores the registration gate so a downloaded avatar is not announced in a live Fusion session until ModioModNetworker can map its exact pallet to the mod.io pack peers need.
  • Uses a stable main-thread snapshot of Networker's installed registry and keeps the official Fusion sender as the only multiplayer announcement path.

Other included V2 features

  • Adds an animated chest lock-on target whenever a 3D avatar is grabbed, so the equip release zone is always visible.
  • Adds a curved holographic guidance tether, moving energy pulses, green lock feedback, and one confirmation haptic when the avatar reaches the chest.
  • Scales the guidance effect with the equipped avatar and provides a calm static version when Reduced Motion is enabled.
  • Corrects the ruler to use BONELAB's refreshed gameplay body measurement instead of visible preview bounds distorted by hair, clothing, or effects.
  • Keeps the displayed measurement tied to the selected crate after Equip while every 3D preview remains normalized to the same display size.
  • Shows a simple, accurate Avatar height … m measurement before Equip with no size warnings or classifications.
  • Displays even exceptionally large finite heights instead of hiding them as unavailable, so players can understand the avatar's actual gameplay scale before equipping it.

2.0.1 - Cleaner download progress hotfix

  • Replaces the two competing download indicators with one rounded progress capsule directly beneath the Download/Cancel action.
  • Keeps the live state and percentage inside the same capsule for a calmer, easier-to-read tablet layout.
  • Removes the duplicate changing percentage from the status area while preserving readable failures and Retry behavior.
  • Keeps the existing secure download, installation, cancellation, and progress smoothing behavior unchanged.

2.0.0 - V2 Beta

This public V2 release includes the complete WristHub rebuild completed since the last uploaded version, 1.2.3.

Wrist launcher and tablet

  • Rebuilt the menu around a 1.5-second wrist-gaze progress ring, physical PUSH ME prompt, compact hub, and readable wrist-following tablet.
  • Added left/right wrist selection, recentering, manual UI scale, Reduced Motion, automatic equipped-avatar height scaling, look-away rearming, and immediate closing on player death.
  • Added cleaner rounded controls, bounded text, dedicated pages, fingertip touch feedback, haptics, and safer input transitions that prevent one press from activating a control on the next page.
  • Added a lightweight pooled forearm projection and tablet reveal that can be dimmed or disabled.

Library and search

  • Added All Avatars browsing across every installed pack and Groups browsing by mod pack, with Remember Last, All, and Groups startup choices.
  • Added stable previous/next navigation, recent-first ordering, pack drill-down, position counters, and refresh recovery for libraries containing thousands of avatars.
  • Replaced the unreliable external keyboard flow with an in-tablet QWERTY search page.
  • Search now filters local avatar and pack names immediately, queries the BONELAB avatar catalog on mod.io, merges duplicates, and returns directly to focused results.
  • Added zero-setup public search so normal players do not need an API key; a personal read-only key remains an optional fallback.

Downloads and installation

  • Added live progress, status, cancellation, retry, integrity checking, archive validation, platform checks, dependency handling, and readable failures.
  • Added support for named BONELAB manifests such as <pack>.pallet.json, plus targeted pallet loading after installation.
  • Fixed completed downloads remaining stuck on LOADING; WristHub now binds the selected result to its real runtime crate and exposes EQUIP, or provides a visible Rescan action if the pallet needs attention.
  • Added separate Windows and Android file discovery with PC + QUEST, PC ONLY, and QUEST ONLY availability labels.
  • Added permanent non-null artwork fallbacks, corrupt-cache recovery, coalesced thumbnail requests, and stale-callback protection.

3D previews and interaction

  • Rebuilt previews as a single safe render-only hierarchy using declared body, head, and hair renderers without third-party scripts, physics, audio, weapons, cameras, or effects.
  • Restored consistent facing, live renderer measurement, repeated center correction, and an exact shared 16 cm display height so normal, tiny, giant, and offset-root avatars stay in the same preview area.
  • Added full-color materials, BONELAB native preview-mesh fallback, controlled silhouettes, renderer/complexity limits, and clear limited-preview states that do not falsely block Equip.
  • The height ruler now reports the avatar's original BONELAB in-game height in meters rather than the normalized preview height.
  • Added controller-grip and tracked-hand pinch dragging with hand-relative offsets, late pose updates, Fusion rig-replacement recovery, smooth return, and release-at-chest equipping.
  • Removed incomplete Marrow grip components that caused hand-hover error loops.

Equipping and persistence

  • Equipping now uses BONELAB's guarded native avatar path, retains the current avatar for rollback, and quarantines a failed crate until its pallet reloads.
  • Added the native BodyLog avatar-change effect without duplicating the cord animation or swapping twice.
  • Saves successful avatar choices through BONELAB's current-avatar persistence path so they survive compatible level changes and game restarts.
  • Separates preview compatibility from equip compatibility, allowing valid community avatars with limited preview metadata to remain equipable.

Pack deletion

  • Replaced the small trash action with a clear DELETE PACK control and confirmation page.
  • Deletes the complete containing pack, related pallet sidecars, WristHub state, recents, preview caches, and multiplayer registration through a recoverable transaction.
  • Safely switches away from a currently worn pack before deletion and supports subscribed-pack cleanup, rollback, and Undo.
  • Windows-locked packs are hidden immediately and queued for safe deletion during the next launch rather than failing with an access-denied message.

Fusion multiplayer sharing

  • Added ModioModNetworker 2.8.1 as a required dependency for its established Fusion lobby download flow.
  • Generates and repairs Networker-compatible metadata containing the exact pallet/mod.io pairing and genuine PC/Quest file targets.
  • Restored the proven registration-before-equip gate in live Fusion sessions so the exact pallet is known before the avatar announcement peers receive.
  • Uses Fusion's official avatar sender and ModioModNetworker's normal patch exactly once; WristHub does not directly invoke Harmony patches or run a competing peer downloader.
  • Keeps pending sharing state through lobby joins and Fusion rig replacement, then performs one official resend only when registration was delayed.
  • Recipient auto-download, maturity, blacklist, size, subscription, and platform choices remain fully respected.

Performance, reliability, and branding

  • Renamed BoneHub to WristHub across the UI, DLLs, logs, settings, logo, and Thunderstore presentation, with automatic migration of compatible BoneHub data.
  • Pooled UI and hologram geometry, batched large-library refreshes, delayed expensive preview work during rapid paging, cancelled stale work, and removed avoidable per-frame allocations and logging.
  • Split browser updates into guarded subsystems so a projection, touch, preview, download, or installation failure cannot stop the rest of the tablet.
  • Added throttled, sanitized diagnostics without logging search contents or API keys.
  • Added scene, respawn, avatar-swap, and Fusion-rig recovery while preserving installer security and native rollback protections.

1.2.3 - Avatar download repair

  • Fixed valid BONELAB avatar packs being rejected when they use a named manifest such as PCGenie.Chappie.pallet.json.
  • Updated installation checks and runtime pallet loading to support both pallet.json and <pack>.pallet.json.
  • Preserved archive traversal, executable-content, platform, size, and integrity protections.

1.2.2 - Thunderstore install fix

  • Corrected the BONELAB Thunderstore package layout so both WristHub DLLs install into the game Mods folder.
  • Kept the V1 beta features, zero-setup avatar search, and BoneLib dependency unchanged.

1.2.1 - V1 Beta

  • Marked WristHub clearly as the first public beta and added a complete left-wrist tutorial.
  • Added the hosted WristHub avatar catalog so every player can search and download immediately without entering an API key.
  • Restricted the public service to read-only BONELAB avatar metadata routes with input validation, caching, and rate limiting.
  • Kept personal local API keys as an optional automatic fallback if the hosted catalog is temporarily unavailable.

1.2.0 - WristHub

  • Renamed BoneHub to WristHub across the in-game interface, logs, DLLs, settings folder, and release branding.
  • Added automatic migration from the legacy BoneHub UserData folder without deleting the old copy.
  • Added a new WristHub icon and Thunderstore-ready storefront package.
  • Kept the tablet browser, search keyboard, normalized 3D previews, grab-to-chest equip, All/Groups library, downloads, trash recovery, persistence, and Fusion synchronization.

1.1.10

  • Centered installed avatar previews using their visible renderer bounds.
  • Added safe pack removal with confirmation and recoverable trash.
  • Restored the selected avatar after scene and local-rig changes.
  • Added Fusion's native avatar-swap path when available.
