Shark
Made by RUDYHILL.
A great white shark for BONELAB that lives in the water made by the FluidLab mod. Get in, and it comes for you.
What it does
- Patrols the water, mostly near the surface with its back fin out.
- Circles a player who is in the water, then charges and bites a leg.
- Holds on, drags you under and shakes you. You go limp while it has you, and see through the limp body's eyes. Hitting, stabbing or shooting it makes it let go sooner.
- Breaches: leaps out of the water at a player on the surface or on a raft.
- Stands up in the water to look at you before it attacks (a spy-hop).
- Tears player-built rafts apart, a piece at a time, until there is nothing left to stand on.
- Blades driven into it stay stuck. Hold on and it tries to throw you.
- Blood in the water. It can be fought off, and killed. Hurt badly, it flees.
How to use it
Open BoneMenu > Shark > Put a shark in the water. There is also a "Shark" spawnable.
It needs FluidLab water to live in: Tuscany, Ascent and Dungeon Warrior (FluidLab adds water to those), and custom maps that include FluidLab water. In a level with none, there is nowhere to put a shark.
Multiplayer (Fusion)
Works with the Fusion mod, and runs the same without it.
- Every player in the server needs this mod.
- The host's game runs the sharks. The others see them where the host has them.
- A shark goes for whichever player is nearest in its water.
- Players other than the host can ask for a shark from the menu. Only the host can remove them.
- Not shared yet: raft attacks only happen to the host's own raft, and a blade only sticks for the player holding it.
The menu
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Put a shark in the water | One shark, in the water nearest you. |
| Remove them all | What it says. |
| Sharks living in every level's water | How many are put in each level as it loads (0 = only the ones you ask for). |
| Grab and drag under | Off: it bites and lets go. |
| Go limp while it holds you | Your body goes limp in its mouth. |
| See through the limp body's eyes | Your view follows the limp body's head. Turn off if it makes you ill. |
| Blood | Blood in the water. |
| Breach attacks | How often it leaps out of the water at you (0 never, 1 always). |
| Blades stay stuck in it | Stab it and hang on. |
| Attack rafts / Raft hit strength | It goes for what you are riding on. |
| Hold on for, Pull strength | How long and how hard it drags you. |
| Bite speed, Bite damage | 1 is the animation's own speed; damage is a share of your health. |
| Swim speed, Size, Health | What they say. |
| Bullet damage, Punch and weapon damage | How much your hits hurt it. |
| Ignore me | It leaves you alone. |
