README

Download the .exe from our website and install everything in one go. No hassle.

The website installer includes More Platforms, all required dependencies and 52 maps. You do not need to download the dependencies separately when using the .exe. A complete, original Windows 64-bit copy of Bopl Battle is required.

More Platforms Beta

New materials. New hazards. More ways to build and play.

More Platforms adds 8 platform families and 27 models, along with new material mechanics and a desert environment. This Thunderstore ZIP contains MorePlataforms.dll and 52 maps. Gameplay examples below are animated GIFs from the project wiki.

The easy way: one installer

  1. Open the project website.
  2. Click Download installer, then run the downloaded .exe with the game and editor closed.
  3. Choose your Bopl Battle installation and follow the installer. The improved Map Maker is optional and selected by default.

No separate dependency downloads are needed with the website installer. It bundles More Platforms, the required dependencies and the included maps. The original game is not included.

What changes in game?

Material What it does
LISO ice Slippery surfaces preserve momentum and make braking or reversing harder.
Sand Staying on it gradually reduces movement and jump strength, with visual sinking.
Volcanic rock Heat builds up while touching it. Increasing smoke warns you before it cooks you.
Bubbles Temporary support that shakes, pops and pushes nearby players away.
Wood Crates and planks react to forces and break into physical fragments.
Clouds Soft moving support with a shared, cumulative lifetime.
Rooted grass Destructible ground with plants that can hide a motionless slime.
Colored platforms Four geometric shapes with customizable colors and opacity.

Map settings may override the default behavior described below.

Watch the platforms in action

LISO ice

Build up speed and use slopes to your advantage. Low traction makes sudden direction changes harder.

The slime loses traction and slides along the ice.

Sand

Movement and jumping are initially reduced by 20%, increasing to 50% with prolonged contact. A quick hop does not clear the effect: recovery requires 3.7 seconds away.

Prolonged contact with sand makes the slime sink.

Volcanic rock

Heat and smoke increase during contact. The default lethal threshold is 5 seconds; cooling down requires 4 seconds away from the heat source.

The rock's heat builds up: first smoke, then death.

Bubbles

Touching any part of a bubble starts a 2.2-second countdown. It shakes, pops with a flash and pushes players outward. It returns after 10 seconds.

The slime touches the bubble, which shakes and pops.

Wood

Crates and planks have weight, react to powers and can break into pieces with their own physical support. Balls from the Throw ability can push them without causing destruction.

A missile hits the structure: the wood breaks and its pieces fall.

Clouds

A cloud provides 12 seconds of cumulative support. Leaving it pauses the timer without restoring time. It shakes increasingly during its last 6 seconds of occupied use. Powers can destroy it permanently.

The cloud disappears beneath the slime, which falls onto the platform below.

Rooted grass: hiding

Stay still under living plant cover. Camouflage begins after 3.2 seconds and gradually reaches full invisibility at 4.1 seconds.

The slime stays still within the plants and gradually disappears.

Rooted grass: destruction

Attacks can cut into the ground, open holes and remove plants that lose their support. Use the terrain as cover while it lasts.

Attacks cut into the ground and remove plants that lose their support.

Colored platforms

Build with circles, squares, rounded squares and rounded rectangles. Choose colors and opacity in a compatible Map Maker.

Platforms of different colors, shown inside the game.

The desert has its own rules

Desert maps replace the water with quicksand. Getting caught immediately reduces movement and jumping by 75%, rising to 100% until death after 10 seconds of continuous capture. This is separate from normal sand platforms.

Heat-wave attempts occur 10–20 seconds apart, in 0.5-second steps, with a 50% chance of starting a wave. An active wave lasts 10 seconds. Find shelter underneath platforms to avoid direct sun exposure.

Smoke increases until the slime dies from heat exposure.

Installing through a mod manager

Install this package using Thunderstore Mod Manager or another compatible manager. The required dependencies are declared in manifest.json so the manager can install them automatically.

Map Loader 1.1.10 expects individual map ZIPs directly in BepInEx/plugins/Maps inside your profile. If a manager places them inside a nested package folder, move the 52 map ZIPs into that Maps folder. Do not extract the individual map ZIPs.

Manual ZIP installation

This section is only for installing the ZIP manually. Website installer users do not need these separate downloads.

Install these dependencies first:

Then:

  1. Close Bopl Battle and the editor.
  2. Merge this ZIP's BepInEx folder into the game's folder.
  3. Confirm BepInEx/plugins/MorePlataforms.dll exists and keep only one copy of the More Platforms plugin installed.
  4. Keep all 52 map ZIPs unextracted, directly in BepInEx/plugins/Maps.
  5. Start the game with BepInEx.

FixedConfig supplies the HideManagerGameObject = true setting used by these dependencies. See the included AVISO_INSTALACAO.txt for installation notes.

Want to make your own maps?

Map Loader is required to load maps in game. The separate Map Maker editor is optional. The improved editor is available through the website installer. Learn its tools in the interactive Map Maker guide.

The original editor is also available separately. Editing More Platforms materials requires a compatible editor.

Package contents and version

The Thunderstore package contains the mod DLL, 52 maps, the icon and documentation. It does not contain the original game, the EXE installer, the separate editor or third-party dependency DLLs.

Package 1.0.1 updates the English presentation, animated examples and installation instructions. The gameplay DLL and maps are unchanged from package 1.0.0.
