Preferred version: 0.7.3README
Wolverine Claws
Three adamantium claws built into each hand. SNIKT.
- Tap B (right hand) or Y (left hand) to pop the claws, and tap again to put them away. Works on every VR controller the game supports (see Controls).
- Placement: the claws come out between your knuckles. They follow your actual hand model, so they fit any hand size.
- Stabs go straight through a body, even one you're holding with your other hand, until your fist hits.
- Slashes: a proper swing through a neck, arm, leg or torso cuts it off, using the game's own dismemberment and gore. A stab, or wiggling the claws while they're inside someone, doesn't split them. A slow drag only wounds.
- Armour shatters when the claws hit it.
- Blood stays on the claws, using the game's own blood system.
- The model: high-detail claws with a brushed adamantium finish, made in code with no extra files.
Requirements
- BRUTALISTICK VR (tested on the 2026-09 build, Unity 6000.0.59)
- MelonLoader 0.7.3. The mod manager installs it for you.
Install
- Mod manager (r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager): click Install, then start the game from the manager.
- Manual:
- Install MelonLoader 0.7.3 into the game folder.
- Run the game once, then close it.
- Put
Mods/WolverineClaws.dllintoBRUTALISTICK VR/Mods/.
The first launch after installing MelonLoader takes a few minutes while it sets up.
Controls
The mod picks the button from the controller the game detects:
| Controller | Claws out / in |
|---|---|
| Quest / Rift, Index, Pico, Reverb G2, Vive Cosmos | B (right hand), Y (left hand) |
| Vive wands | Menu button (above the trackpad) |
| Original Windows Mixed Reality | Touchpad click |
| Keyboard (testing without the headset) | F8 right, F7 left |
- The claws pop out only when that hand is empty.
- Tested on Quest 3. The other controllers use the game's own controller mapping.
- If your button doesn't respond, set
ClawButton(see Settings).FistTriggerworks on any controller.

Troubleshooting
- Log:
BRUTALISTICK VR/MelonLoader/Latest.log. Lines from this mod start with[WolverineClaws]. - Nothing happens on the button: make sure the hand is empty. The log shows which button the mod picked, e.g.
Right controller: Vive -> claws on Menu. Try anotherClawButton, or setInputDebug = trueand check the log for the press.
Compatibility
- Single-player. Not tested with the co-op mod.
- Mods that change how melee cutting works may conflict.
