BetterVolume
Tired of straining your ears to hear friends with whisper-quiet microphones because the game won't let you boost their volume past the default 100%? Or did you set someone's volume to zero, but you can still hear their annoying background static?
BetterVolume completely overhauls the multiplayer voice chat volume controls, allowing you to boost quiet players and permanently silence noisy ones.
Key Features:
1. Boost Volume past 100% (Up to 500%+)
- Extended Slider: Drag any player's volume slider up to 500% to easily hear even the quietest microphones.
- Unlimited Text Input: If 500% is still not enough, click on the percentage text and type any custom number (e.g.,
1000%or1500%). The slider's range will dynamically expand to match your custom level.
2. Smart and Redesigned Input Field
- Clean Original Look: When not editing, the text blends in perfectly with the game's original user interface.
- Clear Focus: Clicking on the percentage text opens a white box with crisp black text.
- Automatic Formatting: The
%sign is automatically removed when you start typing for convenience, and reappears when you press Enter or click away to save. - Real-Time Sync: The input field is perfectly synced with the slider—moving the handle instantly updates the percentage numbers.
3. Absolute Silence at 0% Volume
- The Vanilla Bug: Sometimes, setting a player's volume to 0% fails to fully quiet them, leaving static or faint voices audible.
- The Fix: Setting a player's volume to 0% now triggers a complete, hard local mute on their audio channel. Raising it above 0% instantly unmutes them.
