Logistics Capacities
Loki Moon Labs · 0.1.3 · Dyson Sphere Program 0.10.35.29151
A config-only logistics mod that combines configurable station/cargo capacities with reduced-frequency, staggered vessel scheduling. Native and optimized vessel dispatch share the same cargo calculation, so optimization does not bypass capacity multipliers. It adds no window or hotkey.
Installation
- Close Dyson Sphere Program. Keep a backup of the save and matching mod configs before testing capacity changes.
- Disable SpaciousStations by Valoneu and InterstellarLogisticsOpt by fyyy, and DistributeWarpers by Valoneu in your mod manager. BepInEx explicitly refuses to load Logistics Capacities alongside any of these three plugins.
- Import the complete Logistics Capacities ZIP as a local mod in r2modman, then launch modded.
- Open
BepInEx/config/LokiMoonLabs.LogisticsCapacities.cfgin the profile you launch. Defaults match vanilla behavior. Existing saved values in this mod's own config are retained; other mods' configs are not read or changed. - Restart after changing the config. Confirm vessel cargo, station limits and delivery behavior in game after changing settings.
Logistics Architect and UX Assist's unrelated features may remain enabled. Continue to disable UX Assist's Auto-config logistic stations when using Logistics Architect. Logistics Capacities sets capacities; Logistics Architect applies your station presets and fills real carriers.
Configuration
| Section | Controls |
|---|---|
| General | Drone/vessel/courier cargo multipliers, drone dispatch interval, vessel base dispatch interval |
| Warper Distribution | Optional same-planet warper refill; target reserve and check interval |
| Scheduling | Enable staggered scheduling; interval multiplier from 1 to 30 |
| Planetary Logistics Station | Drone count, item storage, charging-limit and energy-buffer multipliers |
| Interstellar Logistics Station | Drone/vessel count, item storage, charging-limit and energy-buffer multipliers; native dispatch passes per visit |
| Megastructures Exchange Station | Corresponding optional exchange-station settings and MoreMegaStructure assembly buffers |
The three station StorageMultiplier entries use Single (32-bit floating point), including fractional values. Other setting types are unchanged.
Every capacity/charging/energy multiplier defaults to 1x. Drone dispatch defaults to 20 ticks, vessel base dispatch to 10 ticks, and native dispatch passes to 1. Optimization defaults to off, with factor 1. Research-based bonuses remain native. Planetary Logistics Stations have no vessel setting. The removed import options and old PLS ship entry are cleaned out when the config is saved.
The # Default value: comments describe those vanilla defaults even if your chosen value is higher. Updating from 0.1.0 preserves previously selected multipliers, including values it originally imported. Set StorageMultiplier = 1 yourself if you want vanilla capacity for newly created stations; old stations retain existing larger saved limits to avoid destructive changes. This mod does not expand the number of item-kind slots in a station.
Cargo multipliers apply to the researched capacity. A researched vessel capacity of 1,000 with a 70x multiplier permits up to 70,000 items, subject to actual supply, demand, station limits, energy, warpers and minimum-load settings. Partially loaded vessels are still possible. The multiplier does not create items or change flight speed.
ShipTaskInterval is the base number of ticks between vessel scheduling opportunities. The native priority tiers use 1x, 3x and 6x that interval. With optimization enabled at AmortizeFactor > 1, station IDs distribute visits across these periods, multiplied by that factor. For example, base interval 10 and factor 2 use periods of 20/60/120 ticks. A configured base interval 1 and factor 2 use 2/6/12 ticks and request much more frequent matching. Lower intervals favor responsiveness; higher factors reduce visit frequency. Cross-station priority order can change when visits are staggered. Factor 1 or disabled optimization uses the native scheduler with the configured dispatch intervals and cargo multipliers. No fixed FPS/UPS improvement is promised.
ShipReleasePerTick controls the maximum number of native dispatch passes per station visit, stopping when a pass launches nothing. It does not spawn ships or bypass native routing. This is a pass budget rather than a promise of an exact ship count per global tick.
Station storage sliders use the modified prefab capacity plus the scaled research bonus exactly once, in both the normal station window and the control panel. Existing saved slot limits are retained on load; if a slider was previously affected, reselect the desired limit after updating.
Existing chosen charging rates are preserved on load. Charging multipliers change prototype limits and new-building defaults; use Logistics Architect or the normal station controls to choose an existing station's rate.
Automatic warper distribution
Set the following in this mod's config, then restart:
[Warper Distribution]
Enabled = true
TargetCount = 50
CheckInterval = 120
When enabled, existing space warpers in PLS or ILS cargo slots refill internal ILS warper reserves on the same planet, regardless of local/remote supply and demand settings. The target is limited to 0–50; reserves already above the target remain untouched. Orbital collectors and mining stations are excluded. No warpers are created and no transfer crosses planets. An ILS may supply its own internal reserve from its cargo slots.
Checks run after factory simulation and are staggered by planet. Each planet is checked once per configured interval (120 ticks is about two seconds at normal simulation speed). The transfer uses one station scan and walks each donor slot at most once per check, reusing its work lists. When stock is scarce, the first recipient rotates between checks; this does not promise equal shares. Proliferation on remaining source items is retained correctly. Internal warper reserves have no proliferation field, so extracted warpers do not retain spray points in that reserve.
Enabled defaults to false, preserving vanilla behavior. The 50-item target and 120-tick interval only take effect when enabled. Disable DistributeWarpers before using this build, even if its replacement feature is switched off. This avoids two distributors competing for the same stock. If distribution encounters an unexpected error, it logs the error and stops until the next save load; the rest of the mod continues.
Save and compatibility behavior
- Existing station inventories, proliferation, local/remote slot modes, in-flight cargo and ship-index masks are retained. Loading does not create carriers or fill station inventories.
- Work arrays are enlarged when needed and never shrunk. Existing larger storage limits are retained. Reducing multipliers therefore does not automatically shrink occupied old stations to the new value.
- Native ship-index masks limit supported vessel counts to 64 per station. Drone-count expansion is bounded to 1,000. Integer cargo/storage and energy calculations are bounded to representable native values.
- Changing capacities requires a restart. Removing the mod does not undo limits already saved in stations; use a matching earlier save/config backup if you need to revert saved capacity changes.
- Orbital collectors and advanced mining machines keep their native station capacities. Megastructure exchange stations are recognized by their exchange/assembly names; other custom stations use their planetary/interstellar family settings.
- MoreMegaStructure's assembly-buffer support is optional. BuildToolOpt's traffic-refresh replacement is included in cargo-read compatibility when that mod is installed. Neither is a required dependency.
- Other mods that override courier-bot capacity, such as LogisticsBotsTweaks, can take precedence over the courier multiplier.
- Multiplayer, engine UI behavior, complete flights and the full installed mod combination require runtime validation.
Validation
The release passed 1,375 automated assertions covering vanilla defaults, obsolete-entry removal, persistence, cargo math, overflow bounds, prototype idempotence, array growth, preservation of working carriers/inventory/proliferation, effective storage/UI limits, native priority eligibility, scheduling phase coverage, the 70x capacity passed into optimized dispatch, and warper item conservation, mixed-stack extraction, target caps, source exclusions and same-planet isolation. The build compiles against the installed game assemblies.
The scheduler fixture executes this mod's real scheduling code with only the final engine dispatch call substituted by a recorder. It does not simulate complete drone/vessel flights. Additional metadata and instruction checks do not establish runtime acceptance. Loki Moon Labs tested the station controls and requested features in game and confirmed them working before release.
