README

PlanetwideSupplier

Everything on your planet, kept supplied automatically.

Author: zicarius Version: 1.0.0 Game: Dyson Sphere Program 0.10.x (built against 0.10.34) Loader: BepInEx 5.4.17+

For anyone tired of belting fuel, ammo, ingredients, and launch payloads to every single building. This mod tops all of it up straight from your logistics network - generators, turrets, factories, launchers, all of it.

What it does

Every fuel-burning generator, Ray Receiver, combat turret and battle base, crafting building, Matrix Lab, EM-Rail Ejector, and Vertical Launching Silo on a planet is topped up from that planet's logistics stations (ILS/PLS) - no belts, no manual runs. Everything is drawn from real station stock, so it isn't free: a station has to actually hold the item for it to be used. And it never overrides a belt or sorter already feeding a building - this mod is a backup, not a replacement for your factory lines.

Features

  • Auto-refill power generators - Thermal Power Plants, Mini Fusion Power Plants, Artificial Stars, plus Ray Receivers' Graviton Lens catalyst slot.
  • Auto-restock turrets and battle bases with ammo and fighters.
  • Auto-refill crafting buildings - smelters, assemblers, chemical plants, refineries - and Matrix Labs in both research and production mode.
  • Auto-refill EM-Rail Ejectors and Vertical Launching Silos with whatever item they're already loaded to launch.
  • Four independent modules - Generator, Ammo, Production, Launch - each with its own on/off switch. Turn off what you don't want without disabling the rest.
  • Never overrides belts - a building already fed by its own sorter/inserter (or, for Ray Receivers, a real belt connection) is left alone. This mod only backs up buildings with no dedicated supply line.
  • Consume model - everything comes from real station stock, not thin air.
  • Planetwide by default - or set a limited radius per module to pull only from nearby stations.
  • Nearest-station-first sourcing so the closest depot is drained first.
  • Cheap - throttled scans, not every tick, so it stays light on UPS.
  • Config-only - no in-game UI; every setting lives in the BepInEx config file.
Installation

Via r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager (recommended):

  1. Install r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager.
  2. Search "Dyson Sphere Program" and set up a profile.
  3. Search "PlanetwideSupplier" in the Online tab and install.
  4. Launch the game through the mod manager.

Manual install:

  1. Install BepInEx 5 for Dyson Sphere Program.
  2. Download the latest PlanetwideSupplier-<version>.zip from the Releases page.
  3. Extract the ZIP into your Dyson Sphere Program folder so the plugins\ path lands inside BepInEx\plugins\.
  4. Launch the game once. BepInEx creates BepInEx\config\com.zicarius.PlanetwideSupplier.cfg with the defaults.
  5. (Optional) Edit that .cfg to taste - with the game closed, then relaunch.

Before you install

This is a BepInEx plugin - it patches the game's code at runtime using Harmony patches.

  • Only download from sources you trust. Only this mod's Thunderstore page or the GitHub repo - treat re-uploads elsewhere as unsafe.
  • Game updates can break it. A DSP update may stop this mod from working until a compatibility update is released.
  • Save-safe by design. This mod stores nothing in your save. It only tops up existing fuel/ammo/ingredient/lens/bullet counts from existing station stock while you play. Remove it any time and your save stays vanilla - everything simply stops auto-refilling.
  • Do not run alongside PlanetwideGeneratorSupply or PlanetwideAmmoSupply. This mod already covers everything those two do. Running them together won't break anything (both use the same real-consume drain model), but the same generator or turret could be serviced twice - just wasteful. This mod detects and warns in the log if either is also installed.

Configuration

All settings live in the BepInEx config file - there is no in-game settings window. Edit it with the game closed, then relaunch (config is read at launch). Every module below has its own Enabled master switch and defaults to fully on.

Generator

Setting Default Description
Generator > Enabled true Master switch for this module.
Generator > SupplyThermal true Auto-refill thermal power plants (chemical fuels).
Generator > SupplyFusion true Auto-refill mini fusion power plants (deuterium fuel rods).
Generator > SupplyArtificialStar true Auto-refill artificial stars (antimatter fuel rods).
Generator > SupplyGravitonLens true Auto-refill Ray Receivers' Graviton Lens catalyst slot. Vanilla only ever fills this from a belt physically wired to the receiver - this adds a station-sourced alternative.
Generator > PreferHighestFuelTier true Fill empty chambers with the highest available fuel tier (false = cheapest).
Generator > SupplyRadius 0 Max distance from a generator to a station. 0 = planetwide (recommended).
Generator > NearestStationFirst true Drain the closest eligible station first.
Generator > RefillIntervalTicks 60 Ticks between refill scans (~60 = 1s).
Generator > SkipInserterFedGenerators true A generator already fed by its own sorter/inserter is left alone.
Generator > SkipBeltFedGravitonLens true A Ray Receiver already belt-fed on its catalyst port is left alone.
Generator > ThermalFuelPriority (empty) Comma-separated item names, tried in order for Thermal Power Plants only.
Generator > ExcludeProliferatorFuel true Thermal Power Plants never burn Proliferator Mk.I/II/III as fuel.
Generator > RequireStationSupplyFlag false If true, only pull from station slots set to Supply.
Generator > VerboseScan false With DebugLog on, logs a periodic scan heartbeat.

Ammo

Setting Default Description
Ammo > Enabled true Master switch for this module.
Ammo > SupplyTurrets true Auto-refill turret ammo.
Ammo > SupplyBattleBases true Auto-refill battle-base ammo and fighters.
Ammo > PreferHighestAmmoTier true Fill empty turrets with the highest available ammo tier.
Ammo > SupplyRadius 0 Max distance from a structure to a station. 0 = planetwide.
Ammo > NearestStationFirst true Drain the closest eligible station first.
Ammo > RefillIntervalTicks 60 Ticks between refill scans.
Ammo > RequireStationSupplyFlag false If true, only pull from station slots set to Supply.
Ammo > FighterItemFilter (empty) Optional: restrict which fighter/ammo items battle bases pull.
Ammo > VerboseScan false With DebugLog on, logs a periodic scan heartbeat.

Production

Setting Default Description
Production > Enabled true Master switch for this module.
Production > SupplyRadius 0 Max distance from a building to a station. 0 = planetwide.
Production > NearestStationFirst true Drain the closest eligible station first.
Production > RefillIntervalTicks 60 Ticks between refill scans.
Production > RequireStationSupplyFlag false If true, only pull from station slots set to Supply.
Production > SkipInserterFedBuildings true A building already fed by any sorter/inserter is left alone entirely (whole-building, not per-slot).
Production > VerboseScan false With DebugLog on, logs a periodic scan heartbeat.

Launch

Setting Default Description
Launch > Enabled true Master switch for this module.
Launch > SupplyEjectors true Auto-refill EM-Rail Ejectors.
Launch > SupplySilos true Auto-refill Vertical Launching Silos.
Launch > SupplyRadius 0 Max distance from an ejector/silo to a station. 0 = planetwide.
Launch > NearestStationFirst true Drain the closest eligible station first.
Launch > RefillIntervalTicks 60 Ticks between refill scans.
Launch > RequireStationSupplyFlag false If true, only pull from station slots set to Supply.
Launch > SkipInserterFedBuildings true An ejector/silo already fed by a sorter/inserter is left alone.
Launch > VerboseScan false With DebugLog on, logs a periodic scan heartbeat.

Diagnostics

Setting Default Description
Diagnostics > DebugLog false Verbose logging to the BepInEx console. Off by default.

Compatibility

  • Game version: DSP 0.10.x (built against 0.10.34).
  • Other mods: Pairs naturally with resource mods like EndlessResources - keep your stations stocked and everything else runs itself. Do not run alongside PlanetwideGeneratorSupply or PlanetwideAmmoSupply (see "Before you install" above) - this mod detects and warns in the log if either is present.
  • Multiplayer: built for singleplayer; untested in Nebula multiplayer.
Troubleshooting

Mod doesn't load:

  • Ensure the file is in BepInEx\plugins\PlanetwideSupplier\ (not Mods\).
  • Check BepInEx\LogOutput.log for errors near Loading [PlanetwideSupplier].

Something isn't refilling:

  • The item has to exist in a logistics station on the same planet. If no station holds it, there's nothing to pull.
  • If you set a module's SupplyRadius to a small number, widen it or set it to 0 (planetwide).
  • By design, a building already fed by a sorter/inserter is left alone - that's not a bug, it's meant as a passive backup for buildings with no dedicated supply line.
  • Not everything can be covered: Fractionators have no buffer to fill (items pass through them, they're never "empty"), and regular smelters/ assemblers/labs only get topped up to a fixed buffer, not chased indefinitely at high production speeds.
  • Turn on DebugLog and the relevant module's VerboseScan to see the heartbeat.
  • Config edits only take effect on relaunch - change the .cfg with the game closed.
