CaseOpening for Gamble With Your Friends 1.0.33

An unofficial update of Syd4r's CaseOpening, maintained by plooky. Package version: 1.0.20.

Open 42 CS:GO and CS2 weapon cases for rarity, wear, StatTrak, and pattern-based rewards. Includes 1,305 unique case skins, knives, gloves and supplied finish variants with embedded offline artwork. Each round selects a case and rolls from its actual contents. Kilowatt, Gallery and Fever are included. Case and skin names appear in the reveal.

Installation with r2modman

1. Select Gamble With Your Friends and your profile.
2. Disable or uninstall Syd4r-CaseOpening and any other CaseOpening replacement first. Keep exactly one CaseOpening DLL in the profile.
3. Install CaseOpening_1_0_33. BepInEx and MoreGames are installed as dependencies.
4. Launch in modded mode. Every player in the lobby needs the same mod version.

For local testing before this package is published, import the Thunderstore ZIP using r2modman's local-mod import feature. The dependencies must be present in that profile.

• A warehouse-photo idle screen until a valid bet and Open starts the case intro, scrolling reel and item reveal.
• Reference-style scrolling cards, rarity gradients, fading sides and a thin yellow winning delimiter.
• Large item artwork with all details shown together: name, collection, rarity, paint, phase where available, StatTrak status, wear, seed and PAYOUT.
• Payout-colored pulsing glow, with stronger reveal effects from 10x and 50x.
• Native wheel circular win/loss/tie effects around each Gold Gold Gold machine when the item is revealed.
• Native-resolution, independent machine screens and crisp, larger text.
• Authentic Counter-Strike opening, reel and rarity sounds that follow game volume and distance.
• Server-authoritative payouts, one settlement per paid round and betting locked through the reveal.
• Original rarity odds and blue/purple/pink/red payout tiers. Catalog knives and gloves use a 12x base payout, with eligible wear and StatTrak modifiers; vanilla knives have no wear modifier.

The opening uses 2D item and case artwork, rather than the reference game's 3D weapon models.

StatTrak and available wear grades follow each skin's metadata. Artwork is representative and is not repainted for rolled wear or pattern. The catalog covers weapon cases; souvenir packages, collection-only drops, terminals and non-weapon containers are excluded.

The red and gold reveal events use the same original Counter-Strike clip. Other game buffs and upgrades can modify the credited payout through the base game's normal handling.

Compatibility and checks

Prepared against installed game 1.0.33, Steam build 24806572, BepInExPack 5.4.2305, and MoreGames 1.0.3. Compatibility with later game updates is not established.

Automated tests cover round logic, catalog membership, wear and StatTrak eligibility, client case/item reconstruction, resource cleanup and audio playback code with engine/native API doubles. Packaging checks verify the current payout signature, source audio, every catalog artwork resource, and archive layout. In-game balance, display layout, audible output, and multiplayer acceptance checks remain separate; they have not been fully verified for this release.
