How to Fish Tweaks
Host moderation tools the game never shipped with, two fixes for bugs still in the base game, and a full suite of tweaks on top.
Press F1 in game for an overlay showing what's switched on and what needs you to be the host.
Fixes two vanilla bugs
These aren't cheats — they're the base game not falling over.
- Black screen when joining a lobby.
Player.InitializePlayerthrows when the client isn't registered yet, which aborts the whole network spawn batch. The mod parks the player and re-runs it once the connection lands. - The boat that sinks, then launches into orbit. Dead player entries with destroyed transforms throw inside the boat's physics tick, before buoyancy is applied. The mod prunes them each frame.

Names are fuzzy-matched. If two people could match, it stops and asks rather than guessing, so it never hits the wrong person.

Playing with others
Most of it works when you've joined someone else's lobby, not just when hosting — the F1 overlay greys out anything that won't.
Killing, jailing, teleporting and smiting work as a client too. The game lets any player do those to any other player; that's how it shipped, the mod didn't unlock it. Use it in your own lobby to deal with someone wrecking the game. Don't be the reason a stranger's lobby empties out.
Flying only ever runs on a machine that has the mod — /fly <name|all|none> hands out permission among people who already have it, it can't install it for them. If you want everyone together and they've installed nothing, /tp all does that.
Configuration
Every key and multiplier is rebindable in BepInEx/config/com.brade.howtofishtweaks.cfg. If you have HTFModManager installed you can edit it from the in-game Options menu instead.
