README

Weather Reroll

Don't like today's forecasts? Buy new ones.

Adds a purchasable terminal service that rerolls the weather on all moons. Perfect for late-game crews running weather/scrap multipliers, where an eclipsed or stormy moon is the best payday around — get more chances at the weather you actually want.

How to use

  1. While in orbit, type moons — the reroll offer is listed at the bottom of the catalogue with its current price.
  2. Type reroll, then CONFIRM (or DENY to cancel).
  3. Every moon's weather is re-randomized. Type moons again to see the new forecasts.

Pricing

Reroll (same day) Cost
1st $1,000
2nd $3,000
3rd $5,000
4th+ +$2,000 each

Prices reset back to $1,000 when the day ends.

Features

  • Looks and feels like a vanilla terminal purchase — confirmation screen, purchase chime, proper error messages (not in orbit, not enough credits).
  • Multiplayer synced: any player can buy it; credits, prices and forecasts stay identical for the whole crew, including players who join mid-session. Everyone else gets an on-screen notification when a crewmate rerolls.
  • Vanilla weather logic: the mod never touches how weather is chosen. It re-runs the game's own daily weather routine with a fresh seed — nothing else about the game changes.
  • Compatible with custom moons (LethalLevelLoader).
