LocalDeposit
A host-only QoL mod inspired by HQoL that reduces ship lag by storing scrap in memory instead of leaving it lying around.
HQoL remains the recommended choice because it's recognized by the HighQuotaHQ community. LocalDeposit is an alternative for hosts who want similar deposit functionality without requiring other players to install the same modpack.
If HQoL is installed, LocalDeposit's commands are disabled and HQoL takes precedence.
How It Works
- Deposits scrap to reduce ship lag for everyone (3–6k+ items, looking at you, Dine).
- Shows the total deposited value in blue in the terminal.
- Preserves item values.
- Restores items before saving and when leaving normally (not during crashes or Alt+F4).
Commands
/deposit— Deposit scrap./deposit -b— Deposit with blacklist reporting./deposit --listor/deposit -l— List deposited items./deposit --help— Show command help./undeposit— Restore all deposited scrap.
Excluded: Tools, equipment, Gift Boxes, player-held items, items outside the ship, and furniture-attached items.
Blacklisted by default: Knives and shotguns.

- Blacklist: Exclude items by identifier; partial matching is supported.
- PlainDepositUsesBlacklist: Apply the blacklist to
/deposit. - SkipItemsOnShipFurniture: Skip furniture-attached items.
- AutosaveMode:
RestoreOnly(default) — Restore items before saving.RestoreSaveRedeposit— Restore for saving, then deposit again.
- SkipSaveIfItemsCannotBeRestored: Prevent unsafe saves.
- LogItemIdentifiers: Log item identifiers for blacklist setup.
Item identifiers were found using ShipSort alongside Unity Explorer.
Known Issues
- Saving thousands of items can cause lag.
- Avoid Alt+F4: Use ESC → Leave Game whenever possible.
- Vanilla saves support only 45 ship items; use TooManyItems to increase the limit.
- Do not use HQoL's deposit/storage feature alongside LocalDeposit. If HQoL is installed, LocalDeposit's commands are disabled.
