baer1-ChatCommandAPI
A Lethal Company modding API for easy creation of Minecraft-style Chat Commands

BepInEx pack for Mono Unity games. Preconfigured and ready to use.

LocalDeposit
V81 host-only QoL mod inspired by HQoL that reduces ship lag due to Dine being a big fat meanie lag machine
HQoL remains the recommended choice because it's recognized by the HighQuotaHQ community. LocalDeposit is an alternative for hosts who want similar deposit functionality without requiring other players to install the same modpack. If HQoL is installed, LocalDeposit's commands are disabled and HQoL takes precedence.
WARNING
Crashing or Alt+F4 removes all saved scrap into nothingness so keep a spare savefile when using this mod
How It Works
- Physically deletes all scrap and convert them into stored value in terminal
- Shows the total deposited value in blue in the terminal
- Preserves item values
- /undeposit happens at the end of the day or when quitting normally so the savefile saves the values
Commands
/deposit— Deposit scrap./deposit -b— Deposit with blacklisted items./deposit -aor/deposit --all— Deposit everything, ignoring the blacklist (Gift Boxes are still never touched)./deposit --listor/deposit -l— List deposited items./deposit --helpor/deposit -h— Show command help./undeposit— Restore all deposited scrap.
/deposit and /undeposit work in the terminal and in the game chat (chat needs the ChatCommandAPI dependency).
Merging
Combine lots of scrap into ONE item worth the total (great for Dine). Host only. Needs Merge Mode set in the config (it is False by default, so /merge does nothing until you turn it on).
/merge— Merge all ship scrap and deposited scrap into one item. Works in the terminal and in chat./merge -oor--outside— Also include loose scrap lying outside the ship./merge -aor--all— Also merge blacklisted items.
Merge Mode: False (off), Random (a random item becomes the merged item), or an item name like Zeddog (always that item, even if it isn't lootable on the moon; a wrong name falls back to Random). Gift Boxes are never merged.
Merge Mode also lets /sell sell part of an item: with one item worth 50k, /sell 1000 puts a 1k item on the counter and the original drops to 49k (shown in the scan, or in the blue terminal total if it was deposited).
Merge Always = true merges automatically right before the end of every day (just before the game's autosave). It is ignored while Merge Mode is False.
Don't run TooMuchScrap's /merge alongside this one; both use the same command.
Selling (terminal only)
Sell at the Company, host only. Deposited scrap is included: anything deposited that gets chosen for a sale is undeposited first, then sold.
/sell quota— Sell just enough scrap to fulfil the remaining quota (exact if possible, otherwise the smallest overshoot)./sell all— Sell all scrap./sell <amount>— Sell scrap worth at least<amount>(1500,2k,1k+500). Amounts are what you receive after the Company's buying rate./sell item <name>— Sell every item whose name contains<name>.- Add
-aor--allto ignore the blacklist (e.g./sell quota -a). /sell bl//sell pr— Show the blacklist / priority list./sell bl + [name],/sell bl - [name]— Add/remove a blacklisted item (no name = the item in your hands)./sell pr + [name],/sell pr - [name]— Same for the priority list. Priority items are preferred when several combinations fit the amount.
/sell only exists in the terminal, so it works alongside QuickSell (which uses chat /sell). Clients don't need the mod; they just see the items go to the desk and their credits update. Overtime is not calculated.
Config
Config file: BepInEx/config/local.deposit.lethalcompany.cfg
[Blacklist]
Items = ShotgunItem, KnifeItem, GiftBox
[Sell]
Blacklist = ShotgunItem, KnifeItem, ZeddogPlushie, GiftBox
Priority = FancyLamp, LungApparatusTurnedOff, Clock, EasterEgg, ComedyMask, Tragedy, Heartcontainer
[Merge]
Merge Mode = False
Merge Always = false
[Debug]
LogItemIdentifiers = false
- Blacklist Items:
/depositskips these (-aignores the list). - Sell Blacklist:
/sellskips these (-aignores the list). Defaults match QuickSell's. - Sell Priority:
/sellprefers these when several combinations fit. - Merge Mode:
False,Randomor an item name. - Merge Always: Merge automatically before the end of the day (needs Merge Mode on).
- LogItemIdentifiers: Log every item name when a lobby loads, to find names for the lists.
Names are comma-separated and partial matches count. Use the prefab/object name of the item (KnifeItem, ShotgunItem, Clock, ...), the same names QuickSell uses; the asset name, display name and scan name also match. Everything else is fixed: saves always restore deposited items first, and a save that would miss deposited items is skipped.
Item identifiers were found using ShipSort alongside Unity Explorer.
Requirements
- BepInEx 5, ChatCommandAPI (for chat commands).
- Recommended: TooManyItems (vanilla only saves 45 ship items).
Known Issues
- Undepositing thousands of items can cause lag.
- Avoid Alt+F4: Use ESC → Leave Game whenever possible.
- Crashing while items are deposited does not restore them (see the warning above).
- Do not use HQoL's deposit/storage feature alongside LocalDeposit. If HQoL is installed, LocalDeposit's commands are disabled.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
1.4.3
- Config:
Merge Modeis now two settings:Merge Enabled(true/false) andMerge Item(Random or an item name). All config descriptions rewritten in plain words.
1.4.2
- Fix: /deposit (and every other command) did nothing. The plugin crashed on startup because its chat commands referenced an assembly called "ChatCommandAPI", but the real one is "baer1.ChatCommandAPI". The reference is corrected, and a type that fails to load can no longer stop the terminal commands from being installed.
1.4.1
- Fix: blacklist and priority lists never matched the prefab names you put in them (KnifeItem, ShotgunItem, LungApparatusTurnedOff, ...), only asset/display names. Broken since 1.3.0, so knives and shotguns got deposited. All lists now match the prefab/object name as well.
- Each Harmony patch is now applied separately and logged ("Patched ..."), so one failing patch cannot disable the terminal command. Terminal commands and the deposited item types are logged.
1.4.0
- New
/merge(terminal and chat): combine ship scrap + deposited scrap into one item worth the total.-oincludes scrap outside the ship,-aignores the blacklist. - New config
Merge Mode(False / Random / item name) andMerge Always(merge before the end of the day). - With Merge Mode on,
/sellcan sell part of an item so the amount is exact (50k item,/sell 1000-> 1k on the counter, 49k left).
1.3.2
- Default sell priority list: FancyLamp, LungApparatusTurnedOff, Clock, EasterEgg, ComedyMask, Tragedy, Heartcontainer.
1.3.1
- Sell blacklist and priority list now default to QuickSell's defaults.
1.3.0
- /sell is now terminal-only (no chat /sell), so it works alongside QuickSell. The QuickSell "disabled" message is gone.
- New sell priority list and in-game
/sell bl//sell prlist editing, like QuickSell. Priority items are preferred when several combinations fit. - Config cut down to 4 entries (deposit blacklist, sell blacklist, sell priority, debug logging). Other behaviour is now fixed.
1.2.1
- Fix: /sell crashed with a NullReferenceException (coroutines were started on the BepInEx plugin object, which the game can destroy). Coroutines now run on a hidden persistent object. Also fixes the value sync after restoring deposited items.
1.2.0
- New
/sell quota | all | <amount> | item <name>with-a/--all(ignore sell blacklist). Deposited items chosen for a sale are undeposited first. - New
/deposit -a/--all(deposit ignoring the blacklist). - All commands now also work in the game chat via ChatCommandAPI (new hard dependency).
- New
[Sell] Blacklistconfig./sellis disabled if QuickSell is installed.
1.1.7
- New icon, shorter Thunderstore summary, rewritten README.
1.1.6
- HQoL takes precedence: if HQoL is loaded, /deposit and /undeposit do nothing and print a message saying so.
- Thunderstore README rewritten; detailed notes moved to docs/DETAILS.md.
1.1.5
- Host check is enforced inside the deposit/restore/save code too, not only in the command handler. Non-hosts cannot use the mod.
1.1.4
- Default blacklist now lists the confirmed asset names
ShotgunItemandKnifeItem.
1.1.3
- Plain
/depositnow applies the blacklist by default (PlainDepositUsesBlacklist = true). - Blacklist entries match partially by default (
PartialMatch):knifematchesKitchen knife. - New
SkipItemsOnShipFurnitureoption: items in the cabinet/on shelves were skipped by a furniture rule, unrelated to the blacklist.
1.1.2
- Fix: Alt+F4 / quit could overwrite your save with a ship missing the deposited items (the game saves during quit while the
network is already shutting down, so the restore could not run). The mod now SKIPS any save it cannot make complete
(
SkipSaveIfItemsCannotBeRestored, default true), so the previous save file stays intact.
1.1.1
- Default
AutosaveModeis nowRestoreOnly(undeposit before every save, leave items on the ship). - Docs: vanilla only saves 45 ship items; a cap-raising mod is required.
1.1.0
- Autosave bracket: deposited items are respawned for the duration of every vanilla save and removed again right after
(
AutosaveMode = RestoreSaveRedeposit, default), so every save contains them and a crash cannot lose them. AutosaveMode = RestoreOnly: restore before each save and leave the items on the ship.- Re-deposit failure leaves the item on the ship and shows a warning; items are never dropped or duplicated.
- Pure state machine with a fault-injection test suite in
tests/GuardTests.
1.0.0
- Initial release:
/deposit,/deposit -b,/deposit --list,/undeposit, blue terminal total, blacklist config, automatic undeposit on leaving the game.
