README

HatHunt

Find, wear, buy, sell and trade one-of-a-kind, randomly generated hats, anime hats and wigs. Every hat has its own look, name, rarity and stat bonuses.

Features

  • Hats in every level. Pick them up like scrap and press LMB to wear one.
  • Loot crates. Open them with the game's normal Key for a hat inside.
  • Hat rack for your ship, where you try on and swap hats.
  • Shady booth at the Company, with a 3D shop to buy, sell and trade up hats.
  • Seven voiced vendors. A different one runs the booth each day, with their own song and stock. Follow the music to find the booth.
  • Random encounters: the vendor setting up on a moon, guarded hat stashes and runaway hats.
  • Five rarities, Common to Legendary. Higher rarities get better stats, animations and glows.

How to use

  1. Find hats while scavenging. Hold one and press LMB to put it on.
  2. Crates: drop the crate, hold a Key and press LMB while looking at it.
  3. Hat rack: type rack in the ship terminal to take it out of storage. Press E on it to open your collection. Move it with build mode (B).
  4. Shady booth: land at the Company and look for the stall (or listen for the music). Press E to shop.
    • Q/E switch between Buy, Sell and Trade-up.
    • A/D browse.
    • Hold Space to confirm.
  5. Terminal: type hats to see your collection, trade up hats and check the booth's stock.
