README

Drinkable

Drink the sodas you find. The vanilla Red soda and Pill bottle can now be used, and there are 9 new sodas (Bolt Cola, Peach Soda, Sparkle Soda, ACE Soda, Vanilla Soda, Cheesy Soda, Climate Soda, Kosher Soda and Mystery Soda), each with its own label and buff. Find them as scrap, buy them in the store, or get a free one each day from the Soda Machine (and buy more there at half price).

Made to go with FrailtyPlus, FrailtyMedical, TZPPlus and EladsHUD+, but needs none of them. EladsHUD+ shows every buff and debuff under your health bar with the time left, and you can point at an icon to see what it does. Without it, the same icons with their time left show in the bottom-left corner of the vanilla HUD, in the same style and spot as TZPPlus' and FrailtyPlus' icons (on the same line, right after theirs).

Drinks

🥤 Vanilla
Drink Effect
Red soda Sugar Rush: a bit faster, jump a bit higher (45 s). Then a short Sugar Crash (slower stamina refill).
Pill bottle Numb (30 s): you take 30% less damage. Regeneration: heals 90 HP over 30 s. Clears TZP's dizziness (not TZPPlus Lethal Dose / Withdrawal) and, with FrailtyPlus, cures broken / fractured legs and arms and concussion. 2 uses; the bottle shows how many are left.
🥫 Sodas
Soda Effect
Peach Soda Sugar Mend: heals 50 HP over 90 s, stamina refills faster.
Mystery Soda One random buff for 3 min: Swift (speed), Spring (jump), Second Wind (stamina refill), Endurance (less drain), or rarely Cure All (clears your drink debuffs, and FrailtyPlus injuries if you have it). Drinking another while its buff is on gives Hyponatremia.
Bolt Cola A stronger, longer Sugar Rush, then a longer Sugar Crash.
Sparkle Soda Brawn (75 s): carried weight slows you less, melee hits deal double damage.
ACE Soda Sharp Sight (90 s): wider view and night vision. Vitamins A, C & E!
Vanilla Soda Exquisite (90 s): faster, higher jumps, faster climbing and stamina refill. No crash.
Kosher Soda Salty: stamina drains while you drink. Then Equilibrium (2:30): 10% less damage, and hits can give Borrowed Time (a short sprint with no stamina cost). With FrailtyPlus also: new injuries and debuffs last half as long, and hits can give Equivalence (your injuries do nothing for 5 s).
Cheesy Soda Cheese Sense (2:30): inside the facility, a compass bar under your item slots (or at the top of your visor) shows where the nearest scrap and the nearest exit are.
Climate Soda Grounded (2:30): no sinking in quicksand, lightning can't hurt you.

Every soda also gives Hydration while you drink (stamina refills much faster). The pills don't.

The sodas are found as scrap inside the facility on every moon: pricier ones are rarer and worth more. Their cans use the game's own Red soda can with new labels.

🛒 Store and empty cans
  • Every drink can be bought in the terminal store (buy red soda, buy pill bottle, ...). Bought ones are tools: worth nothing, gone after use, they scan like a tool, don't count as collected scrap, and (like other tools) aren't lost when everyone dies (also with AdvancedCompany).
  • Drinks are pricey in the store ($30 to $120, $100 to $150 for Climate, Cheesy and Kosher Soda, $200 for the Pill bottle), and the store's daily sales take at most 20% off them. The Soda Machine is the cheap way to get them.
  • Scrap drinks you find become an empty can / bottle after use. It still sells for its full value (Empty value %) and scans as "Empty ...".
  • Empty cans are synced to everyone and saved with the ship.
  • In the store, drinks, pills and the TZP-Inhalant have their own CONSUMABLES section (the vanilla store page without any other mod, TerminalFormatter, and the AdvancedCompany mobile terminal). Options: also move UsualScrap's Bandages / Medical Kit there, or keep everything in the normal item list.
🏪 Soda Machine (ship upgrade)
  • Buy the Soda Machine in the store's ship upgrades (buy soda machine, $500).
    • Its lamp blinks green when you can have it, red when you can't (not enough credits, or that drink is turned off).
    • The little screen shows FREE while you still have your free drink today. Pick a drink and it shows its name and price. After your free drink it stays blank until you pick one.
  • Everyone gets 1 free drink per day, and it's random (any button), with the same odds as finding drinks in the facility: the pricier the drink, the rarer it is. It can even be a Pill bottle (the rarest).
  • After that you can buy the drink you pick at 50% of the store price, paid with the crew's credits. Machine drinks are tools, like bought ones.
  • Limited stock: each drink can be bought only 2 to 5 times a day (random, new every day), then it's SOLD OUT until tomorrow. Climate, Cheesy and Kosher Soda are special: 0 to 3 a day, and the more, the rarer (none 46%, 1: 28%, 2: 17%, 3: 10%). Free drinks don't count. (Can be turned off; there's also an option to show how many are left.)
  • Pill bottles can't be bought from the machine (only won as the free drink).
  • The first time, it puts itself against the wall between the light switch and the file cabinet (or another free wall). Move it with [B] like other furniture.
  • Its own retro machine: a lit "Company Soda" sign, a 1940s-style "Drink up! Stay fresh" poster, a label button for each soda, and a drop flap that tips open when your drink comes out. It hums, clunks and dings with the game's own sounds.

Configuration

BepInEx/config/Miles.Drinkable.cfg, or in-game with LethalConfig. Everything except 8. Display is synced from the host.

Section What
1. General store on / off, store sale max %, empty value %, Hydration, drinking noise
2. Store prices price of each drink
3. Drinkable turn each drink on / off
4-7 strength and time of every buff
8. Display store CONSUMABLES section, EladsHUD+ bar colors, buff icons without EladsHUD+ (on / off, position, size), Cheese Sense compass (your own settings)
10. Soda Machine sold or not, price, free drinks per player per day, rarity (free drink), sell drinks after the free one, drink price %, limited stock (min / max per day, special drinks max and odds, show stock left), machine prices of Climate / Cheesy / Kosher Soda
11. Finding drinks found as scrap or not, how often

Compatibility

  • FrailtyPlus (optional): the pills cure its broken / fractured limbs and concussion, Cure All heals all its injuries; Equilibrium shortens them and can give Equivalence. Without it those parts just don't happen.
  • TZPPlus: the pills clear the vanilla TZP effects, not Lethal Dose / Withdrawal.
  • FrailtyMedical: it takes the Pill bottle over (it becomes its Painkillers), so Drinkable's pills are off: not sold, not a free drink. All its items show in the CONSUMABLES section.
  • EladsHUD+ (optional): buff and debuff icons with time left and tooltips under your health bar. Without it, the icons and time left show in the bottom-left corner like TZPPlus' and FrailtyPlus' icons (same frame, time above each, a little smaller; more lines when you have many).
  • LethalLib: needed for the Soda Machine (everything else works without it).
  • TerminalFormatter: the CONSUMABLES section shows in its store table too.
  • AdvancedCompany (SleepyMiles V81 version): the CONSUMABLES section shows in the mobile terminal store too.

Play them together

These mods are made by SleepyMiles to work as one set. They share one row of buff / debuff icons (or EladsHUD+'s status row) and one CONSUMABLES store section, and they know about each other's effects. Each one also works on its own (FrailtyMedical needs FrailtyPlus).

Mod What it adds
TZPPlus The TZP heals you, shows its gas, builds up damage reduction (fall damage too). Too much gives a Lethal Dose.
FrailtyPlus Injuries: broken / fractured legs and arms, bleeding, concussions, Paralyze. A rebuilt Frailty.
FrailtyMedical Beta. Bandage, First Aid Kit, Morphine (revive a teammate), Epinephrine, Painkillers and Antibiotics to treat them.
Drinkable (this mod) Drink the Red soda and the pills, 9 new sodas with their own buffs, and the Soda Machine.
EladsHUD+ Elad's HUD for V81, with a status row that shows every buff, debuff and injury from all of these with the time left.

Future plans

  • More drinks, not only sodas.
