Cruiser Recall

Version 0.1.0 — Lethal Company v81

A handheld remote that teleports the Company Cruiser and its cargo to clear ground in front of you. Host and all clients required.

Using the remote

  • Buy Cruiser recall remote for 250 credits from the ship terminal.
  • Hold it outside and press LMB while the ship is landed. No battery or consumable charge is needed.
  • Face an open area; modest slopes and uneven ground are allowed. The remote checks several positions ahead and refuses to recall when there is no supported, unobstructed destination.
  • Everyone must get out of and off the cruiser. Release it from the ship magnet first.
  • The cruiser keeps its owner, ignition/key state, gear, engine RPM, controls and momentum. Its nearest edge is placed at least 1.5 metres ahead of you; it appears about two feet (0.6 m) above the highest sampled ground and settles naturally. It is teleported directly, rather than pulled along the route. Collision reactions are suppressed briefly during the move.
  • A 60-second shared cooldown starts after a successful teleport. Pressing the button during cooldown shows the seconds remaining.

The nearest intact cruiser is selected. The mod moves the same cruiser and loose cargo objects, preserving their identities and existing item state. It does not create replacement items or repair a destroyed vehicle. Equipment and scrap inside the cargo region are included; native belt bag contents stay in their bags. Held items are excluded.

Installation

Host and every client need this mod, BepInExPack, and LethalLib 1.2.0 or newer. Install with a mod manager, or copy the ZIP's CruiserRecall folder into BepInEx/plugins. Restart the game after installing.

Testing and compatibility

Built and checked against the v81 game API. Live multiplayer and physics testing is still required. Try host and client activation with an empty cruiser, then with equipment, scrap and a filled belt bag. Check that everyone sees the same destination and that cargo remains inside. Also try a modest slope, then a wall and a teammate standing in the proposed landing area. Slopes should work; obstructed or occupied destinations should be rejected.

Custom vehicles, custom physics and hazards without normal colliders may need additional compatibility work. If something fails, provide the host's and affected client's BepInEx/LogOutput.log files.
