CruiserStatus
This mod adds a dashboard-style UI that provides real-time status information for each Cruiser. The dashboard is displayed when the local player meets the required conditions for a specific Cruiser, such as occupying the driver or passenger seat, standing on its roof, or being positioned within its cargo area.
The dashboard provides detailed information about the corresponding Cruiser, including its speed, durability, turbo capacity, seat occupancy, cargo occupancy, attachment status, rear door status, and warranty status.
Features
The mod is designed to provide vehicle information without altering vanilla gameplay mechanics. When the conditions described above are met, the dashboard UI displays each status field in real time.
Status Details
- The dashboard displays the following Cruiser information:
SPEED — Displays the Cruiser's current speed. Speed is displayed in km/h by default and can optionally be changed to mph through the configuration.
IGNITION — Displays the current ignition state of the Cruiser as ON or OFF.
ATTACHED — Indicates whether the Cruiser is currently attached to the ship by the magnet. Displays YES while the Cruiser is attached to the ship magnet and NO when it is not attached.
HEALTH — Displays the Cruiser's current durability relative to its maximum durability.
TURBO — Displays the Cruiser's current number of available turbo boosts relative to its maximum capacity.
GEAR — Displays the current transmission state of the Cruiser as P (Park), R (Reverse), or D (Drive).
SEAT — Displays the player names assigned to the Cruiser's driver and passenger seats. The displayed information corresponds to the actual occupancy of each seat: the name of the occupying player is displayed for an occupied seat, while an unoccupied driver or passenger seat is displayed as NO DRIVER or NO PASSENGER, respectively.
CARGO — Indicates whether a player other than the driver or passenger is currently detected on the Cruiser's roof or cargo area. Displays OCCUPIED when such a player is detected and NO RIDER when no player is detected in these areas.
REAR — Displays the current state of the Cruiser's rear door as OPEN or CLOSED.
WARRANTY — Displays the detected warranty state of the Cruiser as ACTIVE, USED, or NONE. A newly purchased Cruiser with an available warranty is displayed as ACTIVE. If that Cruiser is destroyed, lost, or otherwise removed and the warranty is subsequently used to obtain a replacement, the warranty state is displayed as USED. NONE is displayed when no applicable warranty is detected, such as when a Cruiser has not been purchased normally or when a Cruiser is introduced through exceptional means such as external spawning. The displayed state is based on the warranty information that can be observed during the current game session.
- The dashboard is automatically hidden when the local player is no longer detected on the Cruiser.
Dashboard Controls
The dashboard provides configurable controls for managing its visibility and position without disabling the mod itself.
- ashboard Key
The Dashboard Key toggles the dashboard UI between visible and hidden states. The default key is F5.
This function can be used to temporarily hide the dashboard when the Cruiser information is not required or when the UI obstructs other on-screen information. Pressing the key again restores the dashboard display when the normal display conditions are met.
This setting only controls the visibility of the dashboard and does not disable CruiserStatus itself.
- Reset Position Key
The Reset Position Key restores the dashboard to its default screen position. The default key is F6.
This function is intended primarily as a recovery option if the dashboard has been moved to an inconvenient position or has become partially or completely inaccessible due to manual repositioning.
Resetting the position does not change the dashboard scale or other configuration settings.
Dashboard Position
The dashboard can be repositioned by dragging it with the mouse.
In the vanilla environment, the mouse cursor is normally available for repositioning the dashboard only while the Escape menu is open. Therefore, without additional cursor functionality, the dashboard position can only be adjusted by dragging it while the Escape menu is displayed.
To reposition the dashboard during normal gameplay, you can optionally use CursorToggle by azumi, which allows the mouse cursor to be enabled during gameplay and used to drag the dashboard to the desired position.
The final position is saved to the configuration file when the drag is released.
The position can also be adjusted directly through the configuration values.
Config
You can change the settings in the config file. Edit the config if desired. We recommend editing the file using LethalConfig by AinaVT.
If old configuration source files remain, the configuration settings may not be applied correctly. In that case, please follow the steps below.
-
Access the profile in the Thunder Store's local files.
Thunderstore Mod Manager/DataFolder/LethalCompany/profiles/(Optional profiles) -
Delete the CruiserStatus configuration source file from the BepInEx directory.
BepInEx/config/azumi.cruiserstatus.cfg -
In the Thunder Store, click Modded on the relevant profile to launch the game. This will automatically generate a new configuration file.
General
You can optionally configure the following items in the config.
| Setting | Default | Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled | True | Enables or disables CruiserStatus. |
| Dashboard Scale | 1.0 | Min: 0.5 / Max: 2.0 |
| Use MPH | False | Displays speed in mph instead of km/h. |
Controls
You can optionally set the assignments for the following keys in the config.
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Dashboard Key | F5 |
| Reset Position Key | F6 |
Position
You can configure coordinate-related settings as desired using the following items in the Config.
| Setting | Default | Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Position X | 700 | Min: -850.0 / Max: 850.0 |
| Position Y | 0 | Min: -448.0 / Max: 448.0 |
- The configurable position range is based on the minimum Dashboard Scale value of 0.5. When using a larger scale, particularly values close to the maximum of 2.0, certain dashboard positions may cause part of the UI to extend beyond the visible screen area.

Notes
- This mod is a client-side information and UI mod. It reads the current Cruiser state and does not intentionally control the vehicle.
- Although this mod is designed not to alter the underlying mechanics of vanilla gameplay, the additional information provided about the Cruiser and its surroundings may still have a minor effect on gameplay decisions or game balance compared with the vanilla experience.
- ATTACHED indicates whether the Cruiser itself is currently attached to the ship. It does not remotely monitor or display the operational state of the ship's magnet.
- SEAT and CARGO are intended to detect player presence in their respective areas. These fields do not detect Scrap, Items, or other objects placed on or inside the Cruiser.
- The information displayed by each status field is not guaranteed to be accurate under all circumstances. Displayed values or states may become inaccurate due to various factors, including unexpected game states, bugs, errors, game updates, or interactions with other mods.
- The dashboard displays information for the Cruiser currently associated with the local player based on seat occupancy and player position detection. Unusual vehicle placement or modifications to Cruiser colliders, seats, or player detection by other mods may affect which Cruiser is detected.
- The mod relies on internal Lethal Company classes such as VehicleController, HUDManager, and Terminal. Future game updates may change these structures and require an update to the mod.
- Compatibility may be affected by other mods that significantly modify the Cruiser, vehicle seating, HUD, warranty, or related game systems.
