Antacid
Acid rain eating you alive? Sprinklers leaving you contaminated and cranky? Antacid is fast-acting relief for MIMESIS's most heartburn-inducing hazards - it neutralizes the toxicity at the source so you can stop dissolving and get back to surviving.
Take as needed. No prescription required.
What it does
- Acid Rain - keep the moody weather for the atmosphere but strip out the contamination, or banish the clouds entirely and bask in permanent sunshine.
- Sprinklers - let them hiss and spray for show while doing exactly zero damage, or shut them off so they never trigger at all.
Straight out of the bottle, the world still looks exactly like MIMESIS - it just can't hurt you anymore. Comfort food for your contamination meter.
Install
Mod manager (recommended): install through Thunderstore / r2modman and hit play - it brings MelonLoader along for the ride.
Manual: make sure MelonLoader is installed, then drop FluxTeam.Antacid.dll into your
game's Mods folder. Launch, and you're medicated.
Dosage
On first launch, Antacid adds an [Antacid] section to UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg.
Four toggles, two per hazard - one for "does it happen" and one for "does it hurt."
true keeps things vanilla; false brings the relief.

Default dose: the events still happen, but nothing harms you - all the scenery, none of the side effects.
Multiplayer
MIMESIS runs on the host's authority, so the toxic relief kicks in when the host has Antacid installed - and when they do, the whole lobby is covered. Joining a host who skipped their medicine? You'll still get the visual toggles (clear skies, no spray) for yourself; the damage side is the host's call.
Side effects
May cause drastically reduced contamination, unexpected survival, and a sudden urge to go dancing in the rain. If symptoms last more than 4 hours, please consult your doctor.
