Shrine of the Mountain
"A mountain of gold, and a mountain of pain."
Adds Shrine of the Mountain to Muck, from Risk of Rain 2. A few appear on grass at the start of a world, and again on each Wave Run island. Look at one and press interact. It costs nothing.
Each use adds one stack for the next boss. That is the next night boss in Survival, or the next boss round in Wave Run (every 5th round by default). The stacked boss has more health and more damage. One stack doubles both, the weight of one extra boss. When it dies, extra powerups drop beside it. A second use on the same shrine adds another stack. After two uses the shrine turns grey and is spent.
Stacks you add while a stacked boss is already alive wait for the fight after that one. A shrine boss (the one a Shrine of Chance can call) does not spend the stacks.
Multiplayer
The host decides the fight. Clients see the same shrine uses, the same chat line, and the buffed boss through Muck's normal spawn and drop packets.
- Both players modded, same
Count,MinSpacing, andUses: both see the same shrines. Using one chatsShrine of the Mountain: <name> added a stack ...to the lobby. The host's copy of that line is shown once. - Modded host, vanilla client: the vanilla player does not see the shrines. They still see the bigger boss and the extra drops.
- Vanilla host, modded client: the shrines are visible but inert. Using one does nothing.
Fight numbers (BonusPerStack, the drop weights) are the host's. Placement numbers should match, or the shrines will not stand in the same places. When a world starts, BepInEx/LogOutput.log prints Shrine of the Mountain config and an eight-character code. Compare that code if two players disagree.
