Desk Snap

Sit at your desk near a friend's and yours lines up beside it: same direction, same height, small gap. Rows stay level, even in the air. F3 turns it on or off. Only you need it.

Not fully tested: snapping beside a friend works on your own screen, and so do names with colours or other styling in the message at the top. 0.2.1 hides the icon and message in the game's Desk window mode. 0.1.4 puts you at exactly your friend's height (before, starting from somewhere higher left you floating) and lets you snap in the air. 0.1.3 fixes other players seeing you in the wrong spot, with your desk turning twice, when you aren't the lobby host. 0.1.2 moves the message text into code shared with Emote Sync. None of these has been tried in the game yet.

Sit down at your desk within 3 m of someone who's already at theirs, and you move into line beside them, facing the same way, at the same height, with a small gap between the desks. You go to whichever side you were closer to, and if someone's already there, to the end of the row. The mod measures each desk, so desks of every shape and size line up.

Rows stay level even where the ground drops away, and they work in the air too: with Focus Anywhere, focus at your desk in mid-air next to a friend who's floating at theirs.

It also works when Emote Sync starts your activity because a friend picked it.

F3 or the desk icon turns snapping on or off (it starts on, and the game remembers your choice). If you're sitting at your desk when you press it, it snaps you right away, or moves you back to where you sat down. It won't put you inside the ground or a wall, or next to a classroom desk. Gap and Range in the settings file change the space between desks and how close you need to sit.

The icon

Like the other mods in this set, Desk Snap puts a small pixel-art icon in a row at the bottom-right of the screen. Click it to do what the mod's key does (or to switch the mod on and off, for mods without a key), and hover over it to see its name and key. A green dot means it's on, and a greyed-out icon means it's off. The row only shows in a world, while no game menu is open, and hides while Photo Mode is on. In the game's Desk window mode (key 4), the mods' icons and windows all hide until you switch back.

Settings

After the first launch, the settings are in BepInEx/config/nelphei.ontogether.desksnap.cfg. In r2modman or Gale, open them from the config editor. Each setting has a comment explaining it. Restart the game after changing them. ShowIcon hides the mod's icon.

Mac

Install it through r2modmac. Mac keyboards use the F keys for brightness and volume, so hold Fn with the mod's key. The mods haven't been tried on a Mac yet.
