Adds unnamed-branded products to PEAK from a certain famous Canadian store brand.

๐Ÿ“• "Unnamed" Origins

"unnamed" is in essence a parody/hommage to a certain famous Canadian store brand created in the 1970s.

The brand got its name from its "no frills" vibe and iconic and simple designs, providing customers with a lower cost alternative from your typical brand.

Despite its iconic status, it's often regarded as "cheap" and of lower quality due to its low costs.

In essence, it's comparable to your typical white labels and unbranded products or something alike "Great Value" items.

๐ŸŽฎ How it works

Whenever you find an item in luggage, it will have a chance of being "unnamed".

You can identify an unnamed item by its simple, bright yellow packaging with black lettering.

Whenever you use an unnamed item, there's a random chance of it being either weaker or stronger than its "official" version.

For example, let's take the airline food.

An unnamed airline food can restore between 80% and 120% of hunger and give between 80% and 120% of extra stamina compared to official airline food.

However, for items with multiple uses, the same item can be weak one use and strong the next.

For example, using unnamed scout cookies might give you 80% of extra stamina the first time, but the next use might be 120% of extra stamina instead!

But that's not all! There are tons of unnamed items, and some have unique mechanics, each with its own pros and cons. We'll let you discover them out yourself.

๐Ÿ’ผ Unnamed Luggage

Whenever you start a run, some luggage will spawn as unnamed luggage.

You can identify unnamed luggage with their iconic yellow and black color scheme.

Unnamed Luggage
An small unnamed luggage

Which luggage spawns as unnamed luggage is determined by the map seed. So the same luggage will always spawn unnamed within the same map.

The items you find inside unnamed luggage will always be unnamed branded.

Otherwise, they function just like their vanilla counterpart. Large unnamed luggage have more/rarer items than small ones and so on.

You can also encounter unnamed Ancient Statues (identifiable with its bright yellow coloring), which will always give you unnamed mystical items.

โœˆ๏ธ Unnamed Airplane

When starting a run, there's also a chance the crashed airplane at the shore will be unnamed.

Unnamed airplanes can be easily identified with their yellow and black color scheme.

Chrashed unnamed airplane
An unnamed airplane at the Shore

Whether the shore airplane is unnamed or not depends on the map seed, just like unnamed luggage.

When an airplane is unnamed, all items inside its wreckage will be unnamed.

What does this mean in practice? Youโ€™ll have to find out yourself.

๐Ÿ’ฃ Unnamed Anything

Aside from luggage and airplanes, anything that has been man-made on the island can appear as "unnamed" too.

They also depend on the map speed as usual, so the same map will have the same unnamed obstacles in them.

Just like unnamed items, they can be identified by the same yellow-black theme, and they can vary a lot. For example, if a thing can hurt you, it could give more, less or as much damage as it's original version, so better watch out!

๐Ÿงช Uniques Items

This mod adds several uniques unnamed items that can only be found inside unnamed luggage under specific conditions. Here's a quick list:

Windshield Washer Fluid

Rarity : Legendary

Location : Alpine (anywhere when nights are cold)

Tags : None

Uses : 4

Windshield washer fluid with antifreeze. What you do with it is up to you, though it can keep you from freezing...

  • Extremely poisonous and flammable
  • Prevent freezing

Laundry Detergent

Rarity : Legendary

Location : Roots Luggage, Mesa Luggage, Alpine Luggage, Gloom Luggage (Any luggage when some specific mods are detected)

Tags : None

Uses : 4

A fresh scented laundry detergent. Can be used to deeply clean your clothes.

  • Cleans spores, thorns, arrows off players
  • Cleans off some afflictions and status effects.

Garbage Bag Box

Rarity : Mythical

Location : Any luggage

Tags : None

Uses : 3

A box of regular-size black garbage bags.

  • Using it takes out a garbage bag (can be used on someone else to give them a bag instead):
    • Garbage bags are deployable mini-backpacks:
      • Can hold 2 backpackable items, at the cost of more weight
      • Can be backpacked, and can be nested inside other garbage bags.
    • They have "slippery" item slots:
      • Whenever you start holding a garbage bag, it has a chance to "let go" (or slip) one of its items.
      • It can also slip items whenever you throw it on something hard, like a wall, or someone else's head.
      • It gets wrecked and let all of its items go when cooked/burned.

๐Ÿ”Œ Mod Compatibility

Aside of supporting vanilla items, the mod also supports the following list of mods:

Whenever you play using any of these mods, you might find some unique "unnamed" variants of those mod's items.

As always, they are identifiable with their unnamed branding, and have the same randomized stats.

โš ๏ธ Item Stat Displays

When playing with the mod installed, mods like ItemStats won't show the actual stats.

This is because unnamed buffs/debuffs are per use.

So if you have those kind of mods, don't trust what's being displayed! Because just like store-branded products, sometimes it's not really precise.

๐Ÿ› Issues
