WatchEgg
WatchEgg turns PEAK's Nest Egg into a cooperative escort objective.
One random player receives the egg after every connected player has spawned on the first climbing map. The team must carry, hand off, recover, and protect it while climbing toward the summit.
PEAK is required. WatchEgg is not a standalone game.
Features

| Forced handoffs | Selecting another inventory slot while holding the egg drops it instead of pocketing it. |
| Hold timer | A player can carry the egg only for a limited time before it is automatically dropped. |
| Escalating ticking | The normal ticking sound becomes progressively faster and louder during the final five seconds. |
| Global egg marker | The egg remains visible from long range and through terrain or obstacles, with an Egg label. |
| Distance checkpoints | The latest safe egg checkpoint is updated as the team progresses through the map. |
| Automatic recovery | When the egg breaks, a replacement is automatically spawned at the latest checkpoint. |
| Emergency recovery | The host can press Y when automatic recovery fails and no Nest Egg remains. |
| Broken egg counter | The HUD displays the number of broken eggs during the run. |
| Cleanup | Nest Eggs and egg-break products left on the ground are removed after 30 seconds to prevent object buildup. |
| No free food | Food created by a broken Nest Egg cannot be consumed. |

The egg is normally restored automatically. The Y key is intended only as a fallback.
Recommended Team Flow
- Wait for the first climbing map to begin.
- One connected player receives the Nest Egg.
- Carry the egg until the timer becomes dangerous.
- Drop or pass it to another player before the timer expires.
- Follow the on-screen
Eggmarker whenever the egg is lost from view. - Keep progressing so new distance checkpoints are recorded.
- If the egg breaks, retrieve the replacement from the latest checkpoint.
- Use
Yonly when automatic recovery fails and the egg is completely missing.
Multiplayer
WatchEgg is designed around multiplayer cooperation.
- The starting carrier is selected once from the players who have spawned.
- Egg creation and recovery are controlled by the host to prevent duplicates.
- Airport behavior is left unchanged.
- All players should install the same version for consistent behavior.
Installation
Thunderstore Mod Manager
- Open Thunderstore Mod Manager or another compatible mod manager.
- Select your PEAK profile.
- Install WatchEgg.
- Launch PEAK through the mod manager.
Manual Installation
- Install BepInEx for PEAK.
- Copy
WatchEgg.dllintoPEAK/BepInEx/plugins/WatchEgg/. - Launch the game.
Compatibility Notes
- Developed for PEAK with BepInEx 5.
- Game updates may change original methods and temporarily break the mod.
- Using the same WatchEgg version across the lobby is strongly recommended.

Yrecovery is host-only. - The mod uses PEAK's original
NestEggitem.
