GuidebookPageFix
Your campfire find deserves a proper read.
Picked up a scroll, pressed Read, and ended up with empty hands? GuidebookPageFix repairs the PEAK bug that makes guidebook scrolls disappear instead of turning into readable pages.
Find it. Read it. Keep it.
- Scrolls become pages again. Restores the guidebook data that can go missing when travelling from the airport to the island.
- A failed attempt keeps your scroll. The replacement page is selected before the scroll is consumed. If selection fails or your reading data is unavailable, you can try again.
- Your reading progress stays yours. Existing page flags are loaded from your saved stats, preserving PEAK's normal page selection.
The rolled scroll is meant to become a separate page item. The page stays in the game: close it, read it again, or pass it to another scout.
Playing with friends
Install on each player who reads scrolls. The fix runs on the reader's computer; installing it only on the host will not fix other players' scrolls.
Supports solo and co-op. No configuration required. Requires BepInEx 5; no MonoDetour dependency.
Installation
Install with your mod manager, or copy GuidebookPageFix.dll into BepInEx/plugins/GuidebookPageFix/ and restart PEAK.
Scope
Fixes missing guidebook data and prevents scroll loss during page selection. The game's normal delayed spawning and multiplayer pickup remain in place. Scrolls lost before installation cannot be recovered by this mod; unrelated network failures are outside its scope.
