Free For All

The plugin for the Free For All Mode mutator: every soldier fights everyone, your own team included.

How to use

Install it, tick Free For All Mode in the game's mutator list and start a match. A board appears in the top right corner: FREE FOR ALL (the top killers) in Deathmatch, BAG TAG (the points) in Bag Tag.

What it does

The game only lets its two teams fight each other, and a mutator cannot change that by itself. This plugin does the fighting part, and the mutator switches it on for its match:

• Bots see, target and shoot soldiers of their own team too, and fight back when their own team hits them.
• Bullets and explosions hurt everyone fully.
• Kills on your own team count as kills on the scoreboard.
• A board in the top right corner shows the top five killers and your place.
• Bag Tag (a mode of the mutator): bots that can see the bag carrier within 60 m aim at him first, unless another enemy is a good deal closer. The board shows the points.

In matches without the mutator it does nothing: they play by the game's normal team rules.

Install

With a mod manager (for example Gale or the Thunderstore Mod Manager): install Free For All and start the game from the mod manager. BepInEx is installed for you.

By hand:

1. Install BepInEx 5 (skip if you already have it): download BepInEx 5 for Windows 64-bit (the file named BepInEx_win_x64_5.4.xx.zip) from https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases, unzip it into the Ravenfield folder (the one with ravenfield.exe in it), then start Ravenfield once and quit.
2. Copy FreeForAll.dll from this download into Ravenfield\BepInEx\plugins.
3. Subscribe to Free For All Mode on the Steam Workshop, tick it in the mutator list and start a match: a FREE FOR ALL or BAG TAG board should appear in the top right corner.

Remove

Uninstall it in your mod manager, or delete FreeForAll.dll from Ravenfield\BepInEx\plugins. To remove BepInEx as well, delete the BepInEx folder, winhttp.dll and doorstop_config.ini from the Ravenfield folder.

Good to know

• Single player only.
• Leave team-based mutators off in free for all matches (for example Payload, or anything that turns off friendly fire).
• Lots of soldiers die in free for all, so ticket-based game modes end sooner than usual. Pick a longer game length (or fewer bots) for longer matches.
• Made for Ravenfield EA39. If a game update breaks any part of it, free for all does not switch on at all (the match plays normally and the mutator says so on screen) until the plugin is updated.
• Messages go to BepInEx\LogOutput.log and start with [Free for all].
