SkillFern

Adds a skill tree (or fern) to replace the R.E.P.O. upgrades system.

Note: It is recommended you play this mod with a shop price multiplier to compensate for the lack of needing to buy upgrades. DougHRito's ShopPriceMultiplier set to 1.3 works well for my friends and I

The skill tree in all it's glory

This mod comes with:

  • Fair and equal progression for all players
  • No more fighting over the last strength upgrade in the shop
  • New strategies and opportunities to pursue upgrades you wouldn't normally purchase

How does it work?

Earn two skill points per completed level plus one (+1 to the base rate I mean) every time the moon phase changes.

Access the skill fern from the button at the top right of your pause menu.

Config Options

StartingSkillPoints: The number of skill points each player starts with

BasePointsEarned: How many points should be earned per level

PointsPerMoon: How much to increase the base rate per moon

DisableUpgrades: Whether to disable the vanilla upgrades system (recommended)

EnableDebug: Enables my debug messages in the log

Known issues

  • Does not work in singleplayer (just host a private lobby and don't invite anyone)
  • Tumble wings does not activate immediately when purchased in shop (but still applies once you leave)
