Weather Studio
Shape the sky. Set the light. Find your weather.
Weather Studio brings live atmosphere, lighting and cosmetic rain controls to ReSkate. Build a look while you skate, then save your favourite combination.
Features
- Seven looks: Clear day, Soft overcast, Sunshower, Rainy afternoon, Storm look, Misty morning and Rain at night.
- Live fog, cloud opacity, sky brightness and wind sliders.
- Time-of-day selection, including map-authored weather day and weather night.
- Switches for sun glare, bloom, sunlight, shadow maps, cloud shadows, contact shadows, sky fog, exposure, film grain and vignette.
- Cosmetic rain with amount, speed, length, visibility, drift and shelter controls.
- Save/load a custom look and restore map defaults.
- Use your saved look as the default on startup and across all maps.
Install
Requires ReSkate 2.1.3 / plugin API 1.
- Open the ReSkate launcher and go to Mods.
- Choose Install .zip and select the Weather Studio ZIP.
- Enable Weather Studio, start the game and approve its plugin permissions.
- Press your ReSkate menu key (default Insert), then select PLUGINS > WEATHER STUDIO.
For manual installation, create a Weather_Studio folder inside your ReSkate Mods folder, extract the ZIP contents into it, then enable it in the launcher.
Controls
Choose a preset under Looks, or build your own using Atmosphere, Light & shadows and Rain. Drag an atmosphere slider to apply it directly. Each adjusted slider has a Use map default button; its last adjustment is remembered while the map controls the setting.
Fog and lighting switches use one choice: Map default, On or Off. Rain amount, visibility and drift are shown as percentages. Changes preview live; a complete weather look takes a few seconds to settle.
Use Save & reset to save a favourite or restore defaults. Reset before removing the mod if you want the map's original atmosphere restored.
To make your settings the default for all maps, choose Save custom look, then turn on Use saved look under Default for all maps. The saved look applies to the current map once ready, on future game starts and whenever a map loads. Save again to update that default. Turn the option off to stop automatic loading while keeping your current settings. Reset affects the current map; an enabled saved default applies again on the next map.
