README
Smooth Flight
Fly through skate with softer starts, stops and direction changes. Normal speed is approximately 24 world units/second; boost is 30.
Controls
- Ctrl+F: flight on/off.
- Controller: left stick moves; RB/R1 rises; LB/L1 descends. RT/R2 and LT/L2 remain analog. L3 boosts.
- Keyboard: WASD moves, E rises, Q descends, Shift boosts.
Acceleration uses a 150 ms time constant and braking 90 ms, independent of frame rate. Menu/focus/loading gates reset movement.
The command bridge and input hook accept only two validated ReSkate builds, SHA256 8e06f410f801501012eb83bf686a520778f4d3c1caff1db30276c5b1dd54812a and d39186609bc77fd606b0dd0fe863014d1af296e89da2417975c8c852f144b395. Unsupported builds are refused.
Installation
Install ReSkate first. This is a separate native DLL; it does not replace ReSkate.dll.
- Download and extract into
skate/Mods/Kislab_Mods-Smooth_Flight(the ReSkate launcher also installs packages there). - Close the game. Run
Install.ps1once from this package folder using PowerShell. If the package is outside the game folder, pass-GameDirectory "your skate folder". The script copies the package when needed and registers its Lua bootstrap inscripts/Custom. - Restart the game. Toggle this package using Delete -> Mods. No compilation is required.
The bootstrap registration is required even when the package was downloaded through the launcher. Disable or remove older Local versions before using this release to avoid running two copies.
Status and compatibility
Experimental release for Windows x64. Automated loading/input/rendering tests passed; broad hardware and physical-controller testing is pending. Future game or ReSkate updates can require a new release. Developed with AI assistance. Use the AI Generated category.
