Mithrix Surprise Expanded

A tiny addon for MithrixSurprise to add Intro/Exit + Taunt Chat Messages, and an Item Reward for defeating him! By itself this mod doesn't rly do anything :3

Not recommended for new players - In my opinion, you should beat the game at least once before installing this!

Ok, So What Does This Mod Actually Do?

Technically, this mod detects when Mithrix spawns outside of the Moon; the intended use-case-scenario for this is when MithrixSurprise spawns him on any regular stage!

Mithy then gains some fun unique functionality :3

• Random Unique Chat Message on Arrival!
• Random Unique Chat Message on Defeat!
• Random Taunt Chat Messages while Fighting!
• Drops an Item Reward for Every Player on Defeat! (🟡Irradiant Pearl)

why.....?

I think it makes him more engaging! MithrixSurprise is an amazing hilarious mod, but I've often felt he can be too overly-punishing!

He acts as a randomly-spawning, extremely-formidable very tanky + high-damage boss, often 'wasting' many minutes of a run jus to focus him down and defeat him! At his worst he can even single-handedly end runs; a huge risk for no reward! In my opinion, this makes simply running away/avoiding him the best move, which I don't think is v. fun!

My goal with this mod is to give every player an incentive to team-up and fight him! And also to make him sliiiightly more intimidating :3

Lore(?)

Nobody will probably read this bit, but I think it's a cool idea (conceptually!) that like! This mod exists in some kind of a fictional "New Game+" type-scenario! Where in the story, Mithrix defeats the survivor, and then flees the moon! Now he's vengefully roaming Petrichor V, huntin for other survivors to drop-in on :3 Like a cat or something! Wowa, isn't that a cool idea! N-No..? j-just me...? o-okay.........
