ItemHoverInfo
Point your crosshair at an item in the world and see what it is before you pick it up.
After a short delay (0.3 seconds by default), a panel floats above whatever you're looking at, showing its name in its tier color, its short pickup text, and its full description.
What you can inspect
| Target | What the panel shows |
|---|---|
| Dropped items and equipment | Name, short text, full description |
| Shop and multishop terminals | The item inside the terminal |
| Closed chests (including barrels and pods) | The item the chest will drop, under a "Contains:" line |
| Command cubes and other item pickers | The list of choices, or a summary when there are many |
The panel only appears when you can actually see the target. Walls and terrain between you and it hide the panel, and it disappears when you look away or pause the game.

Notes and known limitations
- This mod only displays information. It doesn't change items, drops or gameplay, and it runs entirely on your own client.
- Showing chest contents is a gameplay advantage. If you want chests to stay a surprise, set
Show Chest Contentstofalse. - Scrappers and 3D printers use the same component as Command cubes but only fill in their choices while you interact with them, so they usually show nothing.
- The mod reads item data through the game's internals, so a large game update could break it until it is updated. If the panel stops appearing, turn on
Debug Logging, reproduce the problem, and report the lines fromBepInEx/LogOutput.logthat mentionItemHoverInfo.
