Lost Cards
Lost Cards is a small, slightly ridiculous project about adding creative cards to ROUNDS. The goal is to give you new ways to play: turn walls into traps, weaponize a coffee break, send bullets back, or build something that probably should have stayed an idea.
We try to keep things somewhat balanced. Sometimes we even succeed. Sometimes... not so much xd.
A taste of the chaos
- Distortion Field: Enemy bullets enter the slow lane. With Empower, you can deliver the traffic jam by bullet.
- Sticky Bombs: Turn a perfectly innocent wall into somebody else's problem.
- Snowball System: One damage boost becomes several increasingly questionable damage boosts.
- Mirror: Your favorite card deserves an encore.
- Last Resort: Losing is temporary. Being petty is forever.
Every card
There are currently 17 cards. Cards marked "Repeat picks" can be picked more than once.
Sticky Bombs
Common · Repeat picks
Bullets stick to walls and explode. More copies mean more explosions. Now with a blinking bomb animation. More reasons to avoid that wall.
Safety First
Common · Repeat picks
Each copy halves damage from your own bullets and explosions. Protective equipment for questionable aim.
Focused Shot
Common · Repeat picks
Halves your bullet spread. Apparently aiming is an option.
Red Bull
Uncommon · Repeat picks
Move 50% faster. Places to be. Bullets to avoid.
Extra Jump
Uncommon · Repeat picks
Gain one extra midair jump per copy. The floor can wait.
Distortion Field
Uncommon · Repeat picks
Block to leave a field that slows enemy bullets by 90%. Empower can plant it where your bullet lands; extra copies make it bigger and longer-lasting. Also gives faster bullets and a slightly longer block cooldown. Your enemies have been placed on hold.
Coffee Break
Uncommon · Single pick
Stand still for one second to give your next bullet 50% extra damage. Finally, a tactical excuse to do nothing.
Gotta Go Fast
Uncommon · Single pick
Bullets start a little slower, then triple their speed each second in flight. A slow start and a deeply unreasonable finish.
Last Sip
Uncommon · Single pick
Your last bullet deals double damage, at the cost of one maximum ammo. Make the final drop count.
Heavy Landing
Uncommon · Single pick
Land from a big fall to unleash a shockwave that scales with your max health. Slightly reduces jump strength. Graceful? No. Effective? Hopefully.
Snowball System
Uncommon · Repeat picks
Successive copies give bigger damage boosts: +50%, +100%, +150%... This is getting out of hand.
Coin Flip
Rare · Single pick
A 50/50 gamble to double or halve your combat stats for the match. Financial advice was not consulted.
Equalizer
Rare · Repeat picks
Remove up to two random cards from every opponent. Fairness, achieved through mild vandalism.
Mirror
Rare · Repeat picks
Choose a card from your deck and gain another copy. The selection closes when battle begins. You liked it once. Why stop there?
Return to Sender
Rare · Single pick
Block to send nearby enemy bullets back toward their shooters. Increases block cooldown by 25%. Unwanted delivery? Return postage included.
Last Resort
Rare · Single pick
Explode when you die—even when losing an extra life. More gun damage means a bigger blast. One final complaint.
Veteran Soldier
Rare · Single pick
Each kill makes you hit harder, move and reload faster, and attack and block more often—until the next draft. The muscle memory is back. The knees have filed a complaint.
Stats overlay
Keep an eye on your health, damage, attack rate, block cooldown, and more with the live stats overlay during battles. Press F8 to show or hide it. Kills count each life taken, including Phoenix revives; your own revives keep your tally. Now you can put numbers on your questionable decisions.
Playing together
Requires BepInEx, UnboundLib, and ModdingUtils. Install Lost Cards and its dependencies on every player's machine for multiplayer.
Experiment, find strange combinations, and let us know when "somewhat balanced" becomes an especially optimistic description.
