TheRegulars

Fixes the 0.4.7 bug that stops special customers from ever showing up, and adds a phone app that tracks them: which crew is coming, when, and what they buy. Call a crew in, send them away, or tune the timing and order size. No S1API needed.

The Regulars

Special customers, fixed + on your phone

Schedule I 0.4.7 · MelonLoader · No S1API needed

Special customers never showed up? That's the game, not you.

On a lot of new 0.4.7 saves, the special-customer crews (Bikers, Businessmen, Hippies, Party Bus) never come to town at all. The game has a typo in it: for your first ten in-game days it asks for the "Hippies" crew with a capital H, but the crew's real ID is lowercase. The visit quietly fails, and nothing ever gets rescheduled.

The Regulars catches that the moment it happens and repairs it with the game's own code. No save editing, no hacks. Then it puts every crew on your phone.

What It Fixes

  • No-show crews - the capital-H "Hippies" bug above.
  • Skipped nights - a sleep watchdog catches a special-customer night the game skips, and gets things moving again.
  • Late joiners in the dark - players who join a co-op game mid-session get told where things stand.
  • Host-only map pin - co-op players who aren't hosting get the crew's camp on their map too.

The Phone App

Open your phone and tap The Regulars.

  • Overview - who's coming or in town, how many sleeps away, and what they buy.
  • Crews - each crew's bonus effects, which of your products match and how much more they pay, their daily limit, and their visit history.
  • Calendar - a sleep-by-sleep timeline of what's next, plus your past visits and what you made.
  • Settings - every option below, explained in plain words.

Everything on screen comes from the game's own data as you play. Nothing is hard-coded or guessed.

Call The Shots

  • Call a crew in - pick any crew when nobody's scheduled. They show up after your next sleep.
  • Bring them sooner - a crew's on the way? Skip the rest of the wait.
  • Send them away - done with the crew in town? They leave after your next sleep.

One crew at a time, like the game. While a crew is on the way or in town, the app won't call in another one, and it tells you why.

Your Rules

The fixes are on out of the box. Every gameplay setting starts at the game's own values, so nothing else changes unless you change it. Set everything in the app, or in UserData/TheRegulars.cfg.

  • Fix the first visit - on. Repairs the bug above.
  • Sleep watchdog - on. Catches a skipped night.
  • Sync late joiners - on. Tells a player who joins mid-game where things stand.
  • Map pin for co-op players - on. Only affects players who aren't hosting.
  • Alerts - on. A notification when a crew is coming, arrives, has its last night, or leaves.
  • First visit delay - the game's 7 sleeps. How long a new save waits before the first crew can be picked.
  • Nights between visits - the game's 4 to 8 sleeps. The wait between one crew leaving and the next pick.
  • Skip the luck roll - off. Once the wait is over, the game only has a 25% chance each night to send a crew (+10% per miss). Turn this on and one comes the first night.
  • Warning nights - the game's 3. How much notice you get before a crew arrives.
  • Stay nights - the game's 3. How many nights a crew stays.
  • Order size - 100%. How much crews buy per day, from 50% to 300%.
  • Skip specific crews - off. Stop the game from picking a crew you don't want.
  • Only crews I can serve - off. Skip crews whose drugs you can't make yet.
  • Call-ins and send-aways - on. The Call them in, Bring them sooner and Send them away buttons.

Co-op

Only the host needs The Regulars for the fixes: the schedule gets repaired for the whole game. Anyone who wants the phone app, the map pin, and live countdowns installs it too.

Co-op has had the least testing so far. If anything looks off, report it with your log (see below).

Install

Through r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager (recommended)

  1. Install this package. MelonLoader comes along automatically as a dependency.
  2. Launch the game through the mod manager.

Manual install

  1. Install MelonLoader 0.7.3 Open-Beta for Schedule I.
  2. Copy TheRegulars.dll (from this package's Mods folder) into your Schedule I Mods folder.
  3. Play. No S1API, no other mods needed.

Built and tested on the 0.4.7 beta branch (0.4.7f6).

Good To Know

  • Plays nice. No Harmony patches on game logic. It calls the game's own functions, just at the right moment, so it works alongside anything that doesn't rewrite special customers.
  • No crew pictures. Leaders show a crew icon; everyone else shows their initials. Nothing is pulled from the game's art.
  • Prices untouched. Order size changes how much a crew buys, never what they pay.
  • Clean uninstall. Delete the DLL. Nothing extra goes into your save. The mod's own settings and history live in UserData (TheRegulars.cfg and the TheRegulars folder).

Found A Bug?

Set DebugKey = true in UserData/TheRegulars.cfg, press F10 in-game, and attach MelonLoader/Latest.log to your report.
