Abyss Jumpers
Ever wanted to jump just a little higher in Shadows of Doubt?
Or perhaps a lot higher?
Abyss Jumpers lets you customize your jump height from 0.1× to 10×, with the ability to turn the effect on and off or change the multiplier while you're playing.
No restarting the game. No digging through config files every time you want to try something different.
Just jump.
Features
- Jump height from 0.1× to 10×
- 1.0× is completely vanilla
- Make jumps lower or higher than normal
- Toggle the effect on and off while playing
- Increase or decrease the multiplier while playing
- Changes made in-game are automatically saved
- Your chosen multiplier is remembered between game sessions
- Off by default, so installing the mod doesn't change anything until you enable it by pressing F1
- Small on-screen notifications let you know when the mod is toggled or the multiplier is changed
Controls
The default keybinds are:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| F1 | Toggle Abyss Jumpers mode on/off |
| Page Up | Increase jump multiplier |
| Page Down | Decrease jump multiplier |
| Home | Reset multiplier back to 1.5× |
The amount changed by Page Up/Page Down is controlled by MultiplierStep in the config.
For example, with the default step of 0.1:
1.0× → 1.1× → 1.2× → 1.3×...
Pressing Home resets the multiplier to the default 1.5×.
You can change the keybinds in the config if you prefer different keys.
The configuration file can be found at:
BepInEx/config/ILectriq.AbyssJumpers.cfg
Jump Multiplier
The multiplier controls how high you jump compared to the normal game.
There is no complicated system behind it. 1.0× means normal, and everything else is higher or lower.
A multiplier around 2.7× has been tested and makes for a pretty substantial boost while still being reasonably controllable. Higher values work too, but at that point you're going to be covering some serious altitude, so don't be surprised when the landing hurts.
For values above 2.7×, I'd recommend using the Stability upgrade of the Vigor SyncDisk so you don't have to worry about fall damage.
Important
Abyss Jumpers changes jump height only.
It does not:
- Change fall damage
- Change the game's separate Rat Detective jump behavior
- Add new movement abilities
- Modify your movement speed
If you jump considerably higher than normal, you can also fall considerably farther than normal. The game already has its own systems for dealing with fall damage, and Abyss Jumpers leaves those untouched.
Manual Installation
Install BepInExPack IL2CPP for Shadows of Doubt, then extract the package contents into your game folder. The mod DLL should end up at:
BepInEx/plugins/ILectriq-AbyssJumpers/AbyssJumpers.dll
Launch the game and Abyss Jumpers will create its configuration file automatically.
