This mod requires the following mods to function
BepInEx-BepInExPack_IL2CPP
BepInEx pack for IL2CPP x64 Unity games. Preconfigured and ready to use.
Preferred version: 6.0.755README
Quick Menu
A BepInEx (mod loader) plugin for Shadows of Doubt. One menu for the actions of your mods, so you never have to learn their keys. Press G, or D-pad Down on a controller, and pick what you want to do.
If it saves you hunting through config files for key bindings, please leave a like on its Thunderstore page. It keeps me motivated to make more mods. Donations are welcome too:
What it does
- One menu, every mod: the actions of your other mods sit in a ring in the middle of the screen. Point at one with a stick or the mouse and press A, click or Enter.
- Only what fits the moment: an entry only shows when it can be used. "Evict tenants" appears inside someone else's apartment, "Pin case" when a case is open, "Stop waiting" while time is passing.
- Works with a controller: D-pad Down opens it while you walk around. It stays out of the way in the inventory, in conversations, at computers and on the case board, where D-pad Down already moves through lists. G works everywhere.
- Holds you still: while the menu is open you do not walk or look around, and the button you choose with does not also make you jump.
- Close it any time with B, Esc, a right click, or G and D-pad Down again.
- Looks like the game: the game's own menu font, in deep red.
Entries from my mods
| Mod | From version | Entries |
|---|---|---|
| Caseboard Expanded | 1.1.0 | Pin case, Unpin case |
| Skip Time Anywhere | 1.1.0 | Wait one hour, Wait until your watch time, Stop waiting |
| GTFO: An Eviction Mod | 1.0.2 | Evict tenants |
| No More Sidejob Hassle | 1.1.0 | Case answers on a sticky note (on the case board) |
| Black Market Passwords (optional tool) | 1.3.0 | Passwords on a sticky note (on the case board), Pin black market shops, Pin control rooms |
Each of those mods still works exactly as before without Quick Menu, keys included. Older versions of them simply add no entries.
Config
After one launch, edit BepInEx/config/sm3gm.sod.quickmenu.cfg with the game closed.
| Setting | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Controls / OpenKey | G | Opens and closes the menu. |
| Controls / DPadDown | true | D-pad Down on a controller opens and closes the menu. |
| Look / Style | Red | Red: deep red with a pink edge. Game: the navy and maroon of the game's case board tabs. |
For modders
Any mod can add entries without referencing this one. Add a static class named QuickMenuHook with a static method Entries() that returns IEnumerable<(string id, Func<string?> label, Action run)>. The label is read each time the menu opens; return null to hide the entry for now. Quick Menu finds the class by name when the menu first opens, so your mod keeps working when Quick Menu is not installed.
Install
Use Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman and install as normal. BepInEx is installed automatically.
To install by hand:
- Install BepInExPack IL2CPP version 6.0.755.
- Put
SoDQuickMenu.dllinBepInEx/plugins/QuickMenu/inside your existingBepInExfolder.
