Laser Fix
In the base game, security camera lasers shine straight through windows. Walk down the street past a guarded apartment and you'll see a red beam poking out through the glass and across the pavement.
With this mod:
- Lasers stop at window glass. Camera lasers and laser grids end where they meet a window, and so does their glow.
- Nothing else changes. Cameras see and detect exactly what they did before. Only where the beam is drawn changes.
Why it happens
The game works out a laser's length with the same "what can a person see?" check that citizens use, and that check deliberately looks through glass so people can see through windows. So the beam went through too.
Safe to remove?
Yes. It doesn't store anything in your saves, so you can add or remove it at any time.
Compatibility
- Requires BepInExPack IL2CPP (installed automatically by r2modman, Gale or Thunderstore Mod Manager).
- Built for the main (IL2CPP) branch of the game.
- Works with any city, and alongside The Protectorate's other mods.
