README

PerPlayerVoiceVolume

Independent, per-player voice chat volume for Shift At Midnight.

This mod adds one volume slider per connected player (friend or stranger) directly into the game's own Settings > Sound menu, so you can turn down that one teammate who's too loud without touching anyone else — all client-side, no effect on other players.

Features

  • A volume row is added automatically for every player connected to voice chat, in Settings > Sound.
  • Each row shows the player's display name and lets you scale their voice from 0% to 200%, independently of everyone else.
  • Rows appear/disappear automatically as players join or leave.
  • 100% client-side: only affects what you hear, nothing is sent over the network.

Requirements

  • BepInEx IL2CPP (installed automatically if you use a mod manager such as r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager).

Installation

Mod manager (recommended): install through r2modman / the Thunderstore Mod Manager — the BepInEx dependency will be installed automatically.

Manual installation:

  1. Install BepInEx IL2CPP for Shift At Midnight.
  2. Extract PerPlayerVoiceVolume.dll into BepInEx/plugins/PerPlayerVoiceVolume/.
  3. Launch the game through Steam.

Usage

Open Settings > Sound from the main menu, the lobby, or the in-mission pause menu — a volume slider appears automatically for every player currently connected to voice chat.

Notes

  • Client-side only: your settings are not shared with other players and don't affect what they hear.
