This mod requires the following mods to function
SFTG_Modding-BepInExPack_SFTG
Stick Fight: The Game-specific BepInEx x64 5.4.23.5. Preconfigured and ready to use.
Preferred version: 1.1.1README
First To N
Stick Fight's matches never end (a real tragedy, I know). With this mod, the first player to win 10 rounds (configurable) wins the match:
- A score bar at the top of the screen shows every player's round wins in their colour, with a line filling up toward the target,
FIRST TO 10beside it, and the game's crown over the leader. - The winning round brings up a banner in the winner's colour while the world slows down.
- Then everyone goes back to the lobby, with the same controllers already joined.
- The crown goes to the leader: the player with the most round wins wears the game's crown, not just the last round's winner. On a tie the wearer keeps it, and killing the wearer doesn't take it (or count as a crown steal). Endless matches keep the game's default crown rules.
Counting starts when the match leaves the lobby. Rounds played in the lobby don't count. Pausing during the winner's banner holds it until you resume.
With BAR (the default), the score bar replaces the game's four corner counters. It shows during matches, not in the lobby. The numbers are centred at the top of the screen, with no background. The bar turns see-through while a player is behind it and hides while the game is paused.
Teams (2v2)
Turn on TEAMS in GAME OPTIONS (or Teams in the config). P1 + P2 vs P3 + P4, P1 and P3 are captains.
- You can't hurt your teammate. Bullets go through them. Punches and explosions still push them though, so watch the edges.
- A round ends when one team is left. The win text is in the captain's color.
- One win counter per team, on the bar or in the corners.
- Winning the match says TEAM RED WINS, TEAM BLUE WINS etc.
- Each team gets a matching pair of colors: yellow/orange, blue/cyan, red/dark red, green/lime, purple/pink. With PaintCan (1.3.0+) the captains pick their pair at the paint can, either color of it. No patterns or gray while Teams is on.
- Teammates spawn on the same side.
- The crown goes to the leading team's captain.
3 players works too (P3 is a team of one). Works with Endless. Local play only.
SHOW WINS
The game's SHOW WINS option (GAME OPTIONS) becomes a three-way choice:
- BAR: First To N's score bar at the top.
- CORNERS: the game's four corner counters.
- OFF: no win counter at all.
The game's own saved ON/OFF isn't touched, so removing the mod gives you the game's option back as it was.
Config

2v2: P1 + P2 vs P3 + P4 (see Teams above). Same as the TEAMS option in GAME OPTIONS. |
Changes apply straight away.
Works with
- Enhanced Bots: bots come back to the lobby with everyone else.
- Crown Colors: tints the score bar's crown in the leader's colour.
- PaintCan (1.3.0 or newer): captains pick their team's colors at the can.
Local play only
Online matches keep the game's endless matches. The bar is local only too: with BAR chosen, online wins show in the game's corner counters.
CHANGELOG
Changelog
1.1.0
- New Teams mode (off by default): 2v2, P1 + P2 vs P3 + P4 with P1 and P3 as captains. Turn it on with the new TEAMS option in GAME OPTIONS. Teammates can't hurt each other (bullets go through them), a round ends when one team is left, one win counter per team, the win text is in the captain's color and the match ends with "TEAM RED WINS". Teammates spawn on the same side. Each team wears a matching pair of colors (yellow/orange, blue/cyan, red/dark red, green/lime, purple/pink); with PaintCan 1.3.0 the captains pick their pair at the paint can.
1.0.4
- The memory fix from 1.0.3 now also catches the old lobby after a RESTART in the middle of a round while controllers come and go (it was freed one restart later).
1.0.3
- Fixed a memory leak in the game itself: every finished match (and every RESTART) kept the old lobby in memory, about 100 MB each time, never freed. Long sessions now stay at the same memory. Plays exactly like 1.0.2.
1.0.2
- Maintenance release: plays exactly like 1.0.1.
1.0.1
- After a match everyone comes back to the lobby in the same player slots as before, bots included (with Enhanced Bots 1.2.3), even when a bot sat between two players.
- Fixed: restarting or opening the level editor from the pause menu during the winner's banner left the banner on screen for a few seconds, and the editor could stay in slow motion.
- Fixed: pausing during the winner's banner left the banner on top of the pause menu's buttons. It now hides while paused and comes back when you resume.
- Fixed: with SHOW WINS on CORNERS, the corner counter now shows the match-winning round too.
- With PaintCan 1.2.1 or newer, a player wearing a pattern gets it in their score bar number too.
- The score bar does much less work every frame (no more throwaway memory each frame, which the game's old runtime has to clean up in small hitches).
- A round end that another mod calls off no longer counts as a win.
- Shorter setting descriptions, easier to read on Menu Overhaul's MODS page.
1.0.0
- First release.
