Dracula Training Room
Train against Dracula, alone, in short cycles.
So you can improve your own skills faster from Normal mode to Crimson Silhouette level.
This mod removes all the RPG fun of the game in order to focus on Dracula combat training.
As such, I strongly recommend playing one full playthrough up to Dracula before using it.
Mod showcase: Dracula Training Room on YouTube
Your vampire wakes up on Dracula's balcony, the hall above his throne room.
- Every spell (all spellbook schools, with their mastery bonuses), passive and shapeshift is available from the start, and the spell slots are open.
- Every item can be spawned at the Mirror.
- When you die or take the exit portal, you are back on the balcony a moment later with:
- full health,
- every item repaired (equipped and in the inventory),
- the blood you jumped with.
- The fight is vanilla. You can use any vanilla setting, default Normal & Brtual settings included.
The Instant Devourer
Next to the spawn point stands The Instant Devourer, a Devourer that destroys whatever you put in it, one item per second (its timer says so), and gives nothing back. Use it to throw away the gear you tried.
Tchern's Mirror
On the other side stands Tchern's Mirror, an 'Omen' Standing Mirror. Interact with it to open its tabs:
- Appearance: the vanilla customization screen.
- Armour & jewellery: every armour piece, whole armour sets in one click, amulets (the boss amulets won from Dracula, Adam, Morgana, Solarus and the Winged Horror included), cloaks, hats and bags. Every slot lists the sets in the same order. A piece whose slot is empty is equipped right away; otherwise it goes to the inventory.
- Weapons: every weapon. Legendary and artifact weapons let you pick their bonuses: the infusion, up to four stat bonuses, their effect (100 % = the strongest roll) and their tier.
- Consumables: every consumable (potions, elixirs, coatings...), by 1, 5, 10 or a full stack. Blood conversion potions have their own tab.
- Blood potions: laid out like the game's Blood Homogenizer, but the potions are made here, by 1, 5 or 10: the primary blood and its quality, then the blood infusion and its quality. As in the game, the infusion's quality decides which of its first three traits you can pick (I from 0 %, II from 30 %, III from 60 %), and from 90 % its infusion bonus comes on top. Blood of the Immortal is not offered.
- Jewels: a jewel for any spell of the six schools (their veils included; the game has no jewels for weapon skills), with the modifiers you choose, their effect and the tier.
By default the lists show the best items only (best armour level per slot, best weapons per type, best tier of each consumable) and jewels are tier 4 with every modifier at full effect. The filters you set are kept with the save.
Saves and loading
- Start a new game from the main menu (any server settings). Every new game made with the mod is a Dracula training ground.
- A save made without the mod cannot be loaded while the mod is installed: the game tells you so and the save is left untouched. Saves made with the mod load normally.
- Only the Shadow Realm (Dracula's throne room and his demise scene) is loaded: no main map, no vegetation, no resources, no other NPCs. Measured on the author's PC: the world holds about 2 000 entities instead of 495 000, a save weighs about 1.6 MB, the server is ready in about 17 s instead of 21 to 24 s, and loading a save takes about 38 s from the menu to the game instead of 47 s (the client's own loading of the game data is unchanged).
Notes
- Made for single-player private games hosted from your PC (V Rising 1.1).
- Dying vanilla-style is replaced: no death screen, no item loss, no durability loss.
- Each session starts on the balcony, even if the game was saved during a fight or after a victory.
- This mod is likely to NOT be compatible with other mods.
